Flashback Friday Favorite - Amazing Grace Hymn

Amazing Grace! How sweet the sound...

Although our DT Coordinator, Grace, is pretty amazing, we are revisiting the hymn that John Newton wrote. Easily being one of the most recognized folk songs, it gives the powerful message that through God's mercy forgiveness and redemption is possible. This beautiful hymn always gives me goosebumps when I hear it and brings comfort to my soul...a feeling that will continue "As long as life endures"!

Thanks for a wonderful post today and gorgeous samples, Lorelie!! I love this stamp for so many reasons....it's perfect to feature as the focal point, but also makes the most beautiful backgrounds and collages! Good for any occasion, from encouragement to sympathy.

I love the card with the alcohol inks (I think) and the birthday card! I can be too structured sometimes and I love how you tilted the stamps. Well done!

I love the die cut flower on Becca's card. Is it a Sizzix, Spellbinders, or Quikcut die?

These are all so beautiful, I could never choose a favourite. The word "Grace" has become more sweet to me, the older I grow. My name is also Grace, but as a child I didn't really like my name. It was old-fashioned and friends at school had much "cooler" names (or so I thought, back then). But as I grew to understand what God's grace means, I came to love my name and what it stands for... "Unmerited favor of God". How precious. Thank you for these lovely reminders.

I find it quite interesting to see how many totally different looks you create from one stamp.

They are all so beautiful! The different colors and layouts you used had me thinking of different people in my life...and who would want which one!

This hymn is so lovely. You really caught the beauty of God's Amazing Grace!

Thank you!
