This week we are featuring some of the gorgeous Spellbinder Pendant and Borderabilities dies. You will see, from the samples below, that these dies are very versatile and add a different look to each project. The Pendant dies can be used as beautiful backgrounds or for frames for your favorite verse or image. The border dies, called "Borderabilities", are just as versatile.....they can be the star of the show or best-supporting actor, depending on the need.
Spellbinder dies may be used in the Wizard, Cuttlebug, or most other die-cut machines. To create the embossed edges and accents, an embossing mat will be needed. **Helpful Hint: Some clients have had difficulty with the Fleur De Lis Pendant die. In some cases, the die does not cut all of the way through with the first run. One solution is to turn the die 1/4 and run it through a second time. If you are using a Wizard, you can also use an extra piece of cardstock as a shim, but I personally wouldn't suggest this in a Cuttlebug....it may not be able to handle the extra pressure. Since these dies are a bit intricate, at times it is difficult to get the paper out of the die after it has been cut. One solution for this is to place a layer of wax paper between the die and your cardstock. After cutting, the cardstock should come right out! If you need help cutting or embossing with the Spellbinder dies, check out Lorelie's tutorial HERE.
Check out this beauty from Chris! She has paired up one of two dies in the Renaissance Hearts Border set with the "Fruit Of The Spirit" stamp set, Prismatic Metallic Paper and Scalloped Circles Nestabilities for a rich and elegant look! Way to go, Chris!!
Next, Grace has used one of four dies from the Lattice Pendant Die set with gold Prismatic Metallic Paper on her gorgeous card. I love the design of this pendant....you could easily run ribbon through the openings as well! I love how Grace combined the gold pendant frame with the Basic Grey "Wisteria" paper and the "With Heartfelt Sympathy" set. Just gorgeous!!
Sandee's vibrant card features one border die in a set of two, called "Lattice Borderabilities". Sandee shows us that not only are the cut borders beautiful, but you can also use the cut-outs for embellishing....see the corners? She has also featured the "Happy Birthday" stamp set, along with Spellbinders Pinking Circle Nestabilities and the Martha Stuart 3 in 1 Butterfly Punch. Beautiful work, Sandee!

This card is a perfect example of how you can mix the Spellbinder dies with all of the latest tools, like the EK Success Fleur De Lis Border Punch and the Martha Stuart Lattice Border Punch....what a beautiful combination of elements! For this card, Jane has also used the "Happy Birthday" set, along with two patterns from the Memory Box "Butterfield" paper collection. Love this card!!
Lorelie's creative design shows us the layering abilities of the pendant dies using two dies of four in the Kaleidoscope Pendant Die set along with a Scalloped Circle Nestabilities Die. The butterfly and verse from the "Get Well" and "Friendship" sets are a perfect compliment here! Beautiful!
Connie shows how simple, but elegant and stunning the largest Fleur De Lis Pendant die can be on a project. This is one die in a set of four....two pendants and two accents. Doesn't this die accent the "Jesus" set perfectly? Wow, Connie, awesome card!!
Grace shows us how to create a totally different look with the Fleur De Lis Pendant die by layering two of them! And instead of framing a sentiment panel, Grace has used one of the gorgeous Prima flowers as the focal point...wow! Becca has decorated this beautiful card with one of two border dies in the "Fleur De Lis Borderabilities" set. Wow, the gorgeous border really sets off the scripture from the "Quiet Waters" set!
