Thanksgiving Free Shipping Special and December Pre-Order!

I try to count my blessings each and every day, but every year on Thanksgiving we are reminded to thank God for everything He has bestowed upon us! Almost 3 years ago I had quit my job and was driving home on my last day, crying and wondering what I was going to do with myself. Very quickly, God put the idea for ODBD into my head and before you know it, it was a reality! I am so blessed not only for my home family....my husband Rick, daughter Summer and son Ricky, but also for my employees Josh, Diane and Nick, and for my Design Team family, who have become by best friends, and for all my ODBD customers, who make this all possible, and give me a reason to continue on this ministry!! A big cyber hug to you all!

I will be offering a FREE SHIPPING special this Thanksgiving weekend for all US orders placed from Thursday-Sunday (November 25-28, 2010). Please use the code in the shopping cart to receive this special!

I am also giving away a free December Bread Basket Bundle to one lucky winner! All you need to do is leave a comment in THIS POST to be eligible to win. I would love to hear what you are most thankful for! Please post your comment by Sunday night!

Also, we are offering for the first time ever a PRE-ORDER for the new December stamp sets! There are 3 new stamps set, including an ornament set that was made to coordinate with the Spellbinders 2010 Heirloom Ornament Dies!!!

Our Daily Bread designs is so proud and pleased to be chosen by the Spellbinders company as a Preferred Stamp Partner. Our partnership with Spellbinders will be a blessing to the stamping community as well, as we expand our line to include perfect-matched sentiments, scriptures and images to Spellbinders products. We look forward to a long and blessed partnership with such a fine product as Spellbinders.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend!

Blessings,

Hi Kelley you are right we often forget that God has a plan. Here I am in the UK and will lose my job at the end of the year as the school I am Principal of is closing due to lack of child. There has to be a plan and I am trying daily to wait patiently to find out what it is as I am a great believer that God does everything for a reason. I have been bowled over by the quailty of your site and love reading what you write and the cards the DT make. Enjoy Thanksgiving and thank you for the opportunity to win the stamps.

I didn't realise that you'd only decided to start the company after leaving your job - that's a real proof of how we sometimes have to take a step in faith not seeing what will come next! Congratulations on the preferred partner status.
Things I am thankful for - health, good friends, and the way that God's family is truly that - you can meet total strangers and be blessed in fellowship with them. We had a wonderful encouraging and challenging afternoon in Athens, Greece, on the way home from our summer holidays with a family we'd never met before.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family Kelly also to everyone at ODBD. I have been a registered nurse for over twenty plus years, with my main focus on Hospice Nursing in the home and in patient hospital care Hospice Department. Two years ago I had to have a total knee replacement, things didn't go well and I had to medically retire. So, I lost my job, then lost my health insurance the next year, and diagnosed with Melanoma six months later. I have lived all of my life with the belief God has a plan for me, just sometimes I don't really understand what that blessed plan is, but I try to be patient with him for he know best. This year I still have no insurance, no job, but I do have my long term disablity insurance which I am most grateful for. I hope to find peace this year with myself, that the blessed plan for me is I am here right now and I must live each day to it's fullest the best way I can. I have two grown daughters who are wonderful to say the least, a son-in-law who is very dear, and three beautiful grandchildren whom I love more than words can express. God bless you and yours this blessed holiday season.

Earlier in my blog, I quoted the scripture from Proverbs 24:10, If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small. I am so thankful for the "great" strength of God. He is all we need. We are blessed with so much more, families, jobs, security, but our God really is all we need. Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!! If I did not have my faith in God...I would not have made it this far in my life. I have been through many hardships and at times I would cry and get so depressed that I did not think I could go on. God has been my salvation every, every time!!! Even now I am going through a rough time and because I have been here before, I have faith in my God that He will get me through this too. Thank you for sharing your story...it DOES help to know that we are not the only ones going through rough times. I love all of your posts on your blog and of course who wouldn't love your images !!! Again Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours :)

I am so thankful to God for His faithfulness. Three years ago I had breast cancer and had a double mastectomy. Two months ago I had my right kidney removed because of a huge cancerous tumor. I have been told that the cancer may return as it was outside the kidney and in the renal vein. I am thankful for every day and also thankful for all the people who have prayed for me. I stand on God's word that by His stripes I am healed.

About two weeks ago I had a stroke I was in the hospital done many tests both carotit arteries plugged bllod clot by my brain and the heart Dr's couldn't understand why I wasn't paralyzed in bed. they told me it must be God that made the new tributaries around the arteries that go to the brain for oxygen as there are new ones flowing blood there, Praise God to whom all blessings flow! It also brought wonderful things into our family. Thank you Lord!I didn't miss one church servie only on a Weds nite for playing the organ and piano. Thankfulness abounds from the women who survives Cancer, the family that struggles without a paycheck to the wife that just became a widow or this Sister who may never see her Brother again as he is becoming tired of fighting Pancreas Cancer after five years. This may be his last year on earth. I am Thankful for what time he has had and wish I lived closer to him so I could comfort him. I pray for him to accept Christ so he can know the blessings of our savior and so I can see him again in heaven. Everyone is so deserving of a special prize.
I was just thinking though, what a blessing for Kelly to be able to offer a prize such as this. The reciver will be so blessed and then inspired to create beautiful cards so she can bless someone with her inspiration. The receiver of her cards will be blessed and then continue to share the blessing with her friends and family by displaying it on her table. The blessings just go on and on by this special offering.
I wanted to share with you all how inspiring and special all of the beautiful cards that you share at this site. Thankful to Kelly for building this place to come to and allow me to emerse myself in the warmth, tenderness and inspiring creativity that abounds on the pages of Our Daily Bread. Thankful, Thankful, Thankful to you all. Bless you all and I pray for bountiful blessings and love. God is Good, All the time.

My DH and I have much to be thankful for this year. God gave us TWO missions this year. My brother was diagnosed with Esophagel cancer. He lived with us for 8 months while going through his tests, treatments, surgery and his recovery. Thankfully he is fine and has gone on living a full life. My DH's mother, 93+ yrs.,is in a facility and can no longer make decisions for herself. My husband is the POA and he has faced some challenges & decisions regarding her. Thankfully God has given both of us the strength to carry out the plan He made for us. We both have our health, are safe, a roof over our heads and food on our table. We have our freedom due to the sacrifices our Troops are making FOR us. We count our blessings everyday. Make it a great day, Everyone.

Dear Kelley,
I have so many things to be thankful for, that it is very difficult to pick just one. I am so thankful that I have my husband. He has had so many serious health issues, and I almost lost him 2 years ago just before Easter. We have a small family, just one son, and I am Thankful that he is the mostloving and caring son any mom could hope for.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family and may next year's blessings to you be great.

What a blessing you and your family have been, and I love all the wonderful Scripture-based sets allow me to make cards of encouragement and hope to share. Happy Thanksgiving, and what a joy to remember that it's "in Christ alone" that we are and do. Thank you!!

Thank you for sharing your story. I am in one of those "driving home crying out to God" situations in my life right now. My husband is losing his eyesight. He can no longer drive, read, or write. He can't even recognize our children by sight. Doors are slamming. I often think, how can God possibly make anything good of this? Stories like yours encourage me. I have no idea what to do, but just try to live each day and leave the rest up to Him. Crafting has always been the way I relax and I use crafts often to express my faith. Your products are perfect for that. May God bless you and your company as you honor Him.

WOW! Reading these comments makes me realize that I have even more to be thankful for than I had realized. My troubles are so much smaller than those of so many others. For that I can be thankful. I'm also thankful for being led to a new church where I have been welcomed and feel embraced by my Christian brothers and sisters. I agonized over the decision to leave the church I had attended my entire life, but in retrospect see God's hand. My Christian walk has been revitalized as I see Christians that are exuberant in their faith. Another thing for which I am thankful is a father who, despite a recent diagnosis of cancer, demonstrates his faith by the way he handles this illness. There are treatments available to him - thankful again - but Dad is okay with whatever comes to him. God is most assuredly good and will remain faithful in this difficult time. That pretty much sums it all up. God is good. For His love and faithfulness I am truly thankful.

Today and everyday, I am thankful for the healthcare that I am able to afford. Living in South Africa where so many children and elderly folks are dying because of lack of HIV medication, and diseases caused through lack of hygiene and clean water. I look back on the years my sons were growing up and the anxiety experienced when they were sick. Only our good Lord know what the parents of these unfortunate children must feel watching their children suffering and not being able to help them! Now that I am old(er) and sickly, I wonder how the poor folk deal with their illnesses and lack of healthcare and food. We are truly blessed and we ask for prayer that our government will realise the urgency of caring for the young and aged. Thanks for your amazing company and the opportunity to win. When things get "challenging" it can be hard to remember that the Lord has a plan for it all and to wait for HIS best. It's so easy to try to run ahead of Him and "fix" it all ourselves.

The past two years have been ones of seeming constant change for our family. Today, my heart is filled with gratitude that our children Lord the Lord & wants to please Him. I am also so thankful that we have a close relationship with our young adult children and with our daughter-in-law. Our sweet daughter-in-law confides in me, comes to me for advice, crafts with me and best of all, loves our son & grandson dearly! We also have a good relationship with her family. We're all going to our daughter-in-law's mom's house for dinner today. It will be nice to be together and the kids won't feel like they have to choose where to go or spend the day going back & forth.

Thanks for the chance to win the stamps. Congratulations on being a preferred partner with Spellbinders. What a great match-up!!

A spirit of Thankfulness, even in the midst of all of life's circumstances, is what can ignite our faith & give us the courage to keep looking up & move on (Because we know God is there w/us in the midst of it all!) My prayer is to be purposeful in this, everyday; to keep a grateful heart for all of the blessings in my life by big and small; for that is what will help to create an environment in the soul that will make it easy to nurture the other very important things in life--like joy, love, compassion, hope, & forgiveness.
Let there BE thankfulness to God." (Not just today but EVERYDAY) Eph 5:4 NLT

Dear Kelley,

It is I (we) who thank you for having such a complete ministry. Your stamps and supplies are so amazingly beautiful. The best that I really see anywhere. There are so many reasons to use them on cards. I am using the Sing For Joy set as my most used Christmas Card this year. It is beautiful, and timeless.

This Thanksgiving, I am so thankful that your extremely talented Design Team/Challenge Team share how to improve this art. They are the best in the business, as I'm sure you know.

I pray that your family had the best Thanksgiving ever...and that you are all rested well. For Tomorrow is "Black Friday" and I hope that your orders are just one after the other, making this your best financial holiday season yet, so that you can concentrate on the true meaning of Christmas as it draws near.

May God Bless You, Your Family, and all of the Design Team Members!

He IS Able,

Kelly- I always love to hear your story of how ODBD started. This year I lost my job and I remember the crying, wondering what I was going to do. I won't say it was stress free but it all worked out and I am back to work again. So I would reiterate that I am thankful for my faith and family because they are steady for me.

On the other hand, these stamps are beautiful and I have put off ordering the heirloom spellbinders- you have given me the reason to proceed! (shame on you!) :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

This year I've had a life altering experience in which I am most grateful for. Normally November begins the long battle with depression that always seems to find it's way into my life. This year however through the works of our Lord, He has brought to me a very special family from Kosovo to help during their 6 week stay.

One of the family members was a very sick little boy with two holes in his little heart. He arrived in congestive heart failure and through the grace of God's loving hands and the many special people on his medical team he has become a whole new child. He has become so healthy and in just a couple of days began to gain weight, is playful and truly has prooved yet another miracle from our Heavenly Father.

My depression has been replaced with so much Joy while not only this family, but I too have received a beautiful blessing and for this I am so grateful and thankful. God is good.

Please keep believing that God wants to bless all of you too.

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas with many blessings.

Happy Thanksgiving Kelley and to all at ODBD. I know, I am a bit late for this post, but finally I've figured out what I wasn't doing correctly, so now I can post.
There is so much I have to be thankful for. First of all, God knocked on my door and finally I had the good sense to let him in. Secondly, I have a daughter (only child) that is my best friend. Third, I've been given another chance to be in the number, another chance to get it right. God has brought me through some difficult times, times I couldn't see my way and no light at the end of the tunnel. But it didn't stop me from making cards, because I know this is a talent given me by God. Every day when I open my eyes, my first words are "Thank You Lord, thank you for your Son, thank you for another day."
Lastly, I am so thankful to Kelley for following her dream, going out in faith and giving us a means of spreading God's word. For a long time I looked for stamps of this kind and when I couldn't find them, I started working from crafting CDs, not that they offered the true 'Word', but there seemed to have been a meaning. Finally, I found SCS and signed up to receive newsletters. From there someone introduced me to ODBD and the rest is history. When I first started ordering, it was for my quick reference bible study. I stamped those scriptures and read them 3 times a day. Then finally, it was time to shard them (in cards) and now instead of people looking for 3D cards, they look for cards with words of encouragement, inspiration...A 'Word' from God.
God has never failed me in this venture, because when I don't have a clue or need that special something, he connects me with someone. If I'm stuck, I call him and let him know, okay, I do this giving you glory, so now I'm giving this one to you for you to make it and the next morning or in the wee hours of night, he has done just that. I am so thankful to have ODBD and all of you in this part of my season.
Kelley and all those who work with you and for you, continue to do God's work, continue to spread the gospel as you are doing and at the end of the day, scripture says "How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel".
Again, my many thanks to each of you for sharing your talent, helping me develop and increase. God Bless
"I'm Glad You're In My Dash"

I had been kicked out of my parents home early in the year (1998) and after several months of struggling and staying with friends I found a little studio apartment in a not-so-safe neighborhood.

After months of trying to get back on my feet the holidays rolled in and luckily working full-time kept me too busy to deal with loneliness. After a long 12 hour shift at work (retail clothing store, no doubt!) I finally got home and settled into my studio for the night. I had no TV or radio to keep me company, just a little Christmas tree that my boyfriend bought for me. Unfortunately, he was out-of-town for work so I was left by myself.

A couple of hours had passed and I just sat there in my barely furnished studio that reeked of nicotine...all alone on Christmas Eve. I started to cry and wondered how everything went so wrong. That night, I spoke to God and asked him to help me and all of a sudden the single strand of Christmas lights on my little tree flickered. I didn't think much of it, thinking it was a bad fuse or something. I layed down on my futon and slowly drifted to sleep. When I awoke Christmas morning I felt a sense of peace. I couldn't explain how or why, but the sadness was lifted. I knew that God heard me and ever since then I've never taken my faith for granted.

Christmas 1998 was my fondest memory because I knew I wasn't alone. I discovered that God was with me and had always been. Today, that same boyfriend who bought me my little Christmas tree is my husband and we'll be celebrating 10 years of marriage Dec. 17 (13 years together in total!). Today, we have three amazing sons. Today, we lead a life full of promise and faith and devotion to God.
