All of the sticks in the Bread Basket are super excited about this month's release! Who doesn't love butterflies? They are a symbol of HOPE and of NEW LIFE... and they are one of God's most beautiful creations! Only God with His incredible creativity could create a butterfly so beautiful that lives it's early life in the form of a humble caterpillar! Yet it's also a beautiful picture of what He does in OUR lives when we accept HIM as our Savior! The Bible tells us we are a NEW CREATURE; old things are passed away and all things have become new! We are beautiful in His eyes, dearly loved, cleansed, forgiven and created to do good works!

The theme for this month's Blog Hop is "Taking a Leap of Faith". At the start of a New Year, many of us desire to start out with a clean slate... to fix some of the poor habits we've had in the past, to lose weight, spend more quiet time with the Lord, get organized, spend more time with family.... the list goes on and on! Any major change we want to make in our lives requires a big step out of our comfort zone... whether it's a huge step into better discipline or a leap of faith in asking God to work in us to do things we just can't do in our own power! Two sets this month are focused on Faith! With this in mind, here is the question we'd like you to answer in your comment below when you have completed the hop:

“What are your New Years resolutions or leaps of faith you plan to take in 2011?”

Now, grab a cup of coffee or tea, and enjoy the Leap of Faith Blog Hop!

Here’s the order for the hop:

Julie
Angie
Grace
Debi
Becca
Lorelie

Just finished going to all the blogs and seeing their fabulous work on these new sets. Which I just love.

My leap of faith this year is James 1
"Be quick to listen and slow to speak" to remember that every idol word I speak will be waiting for me on the day of judgment. Think before I speak!

That was a fantastic hop! I know that I will "need" these sets!

My resolution is to appreciate each moment of each day as an incredible gift from God. Right now the robin's are singing in my back yard - thank you God!

Thanks so much ladies for the beautiful designs. Your creations are magnificent!

My leap of faith for the New Year..

I started creating cards 2 years ago to encourage a beautiful lady in our church as she battled cancer. For those 2 years I sent her something nearly every week. Shortly before Christmas she went on to be with our Lord and Savior. I don't want it to stop there. I want to provide more encouragement to others. So it is my prayer that our Lord will open my eyes to new opportunities this year to brighten someone's day! Blessings!

I commented on each post and enjoyed each project...all are beautiful and the stamps are great. This year I would like to spend more time with my husband and family and tell them more often how much I love them and how much I cherish them. They are the most important part of my life.

Patty said...

This is a great hop and such wonderful prizes. My resolution is to stop putting off projects that I have 'half' done and complete them before I start another. Blessings to each member of the DT their projects were outstanding and I love all the new images.

What a wonderful "hop" really inspiring. My leap of faith is to grow stronger in my faith as it is being tested right now in a huge way. My 66 year old DH is terminally ill with Mesothelioma and I need to just trust and beleive with all my heart. Thank you.

Janet said...

What a wonderful hop--ever DT member has outdone themselves. The work is outstanding. I don't own any ODBD stamps, but I'm off to the store now to check them out. They are just beautiful. The sentiment this time really caught my attention. As for my leaps of faith--I will continue on as I have been....having faith that people are genuinely nice and kind and need love and forgiveness. Happy new year to you and yours.

di said...

Sad the see the "hop" end - wonderful works of art on all the blogs. - In 2011 - I really want to be a better friend - last year was hard for me and my friends were so good to me - this year - I want to be that friend back to them.

What an amazing way to spend a few minutes.......I've finished the hop and am so grateful for all of you sharing your talents and ideas with those of us in email land.
Congratulations to all of the desingers on their work.

My leap of faith is a trip to the Holy Land. I fly over on the 9th of March. This is a very troubled area of the world but I KNOW that the Lord has given me this opportunity and that HE will be with me every step I take.
My dear friend, Brenda, is battling cancer.....I take her to her chemo treatments. My trust is in the Lord that no matter what the outcome,,,,,,,,I will be there to support her and do it according to HIS will.
Thank you all for a wonderful start to the new year.
Blessings & HUGS........

I am soooo glad I was a subscriber to Amazing Paper Grace or I would have missed this unbelievable hop. You ladies and your creations are incredible. I really don't have any resolutions other than to live everyday one day at a time & with the Lord's help, just do the best I can with each one.

Beth Mallow said...

I was able to leave comments on all blogs. What talented ladies. My New Years Resolution is Making sure to let people that touch my life in a positive way how much they mean to me. It is easy to complain about actions we don't like but so hard to praise people when they show kindness.

Karen W said...

Wow I hopped and left some love on all the DT's blogs, I ordered the whole basket this morning and I can't wait to get them and play. All the DT's cards are just amazing and the sets are spectacular!!!

Angela T said...

I have enjoyed hopping today. What a great way to start the New Year. My, you ladies are very talented. My New Year's resolution is to be more organized -- not only in my craft room but in every aspect of my life. Thanks for sharing. Happy 2011!

Karen W said...

Forgot to include my resolution, I am determined to clean out my stamping storage room, it's a disaster!

I just finished the Blog Hop and loved seeing everyone's creation. Ladies you have outdone yourselves as always! My resolution is to be more cautious in spending. It is so easy to go overboard when you get in the craft stores or go to an online store because you find so many deals and things you just "have to have". LOL-I always have a long list of wants! Happy New Year to one and all!

Becky Yo said...

I've been to every lovely blog and posted comments at each along the way.

My "leap of faith"? To make better use of my crafting supplies. I just saw an idea for an "inspiration jar". I think I'm going to fill it with names of stamps and supplies I own. When I have an hour or two, I'll draw out a name and challenge myself to be creative with whatever is on that slip of paper!

Lis G said...

This is my first blog hop and it was a fun time, thank you.
This was a great way to start my New Year's resolutions which is trying new things, using up what I already have and getting organized.
Oops, and spending more time with God, and what better way to spend more time with God than using the gift of creativity that he put in me.

Carole Miller said...

I did the hopping and all the sites were fabulous. Love the new stamps and ideas. I don't usually make resolutions, but I am going to continue on my weight loss, continue working on keeping my home, keep my finances under control, and be more patient and understanding.

Beautiful works of art. Thanks for the hop! I resolve to be the person my dogs think I am (perfect, which I won't attain :)) but if I can treat others ( even the difficult others) the way I treat them I would be very, very, very good! Tolerant, non-judgmental, patient, and forgiving. These are my goals, and looking at beautiful artwork helps me achieve them, so thanks to all of you! Happy New Year all.

Wow, this is my first blog hop and it was so much fun!! I just visited each site and left a comment. I've been following Becca's site for a few weeks and have become so inspired by her creativity and designs that I am trying to gather supplies to begin creating such beauties.

My leap of faith for this year is to create handmade inspirational cards for family and friends. What better way to show how much you care for somebody than taking time to make it personal and at the same time reinforce the Lord's love for us. Keep up your fantastic work!

I have finished the blog hop and boy was it inspiring! Great work from a lot of talented people.
I have two serious commitments for the year. Serious changes in my life habit of eating for better health. I am hoping that with life style changes I will be able to lose the weight that will put me in better health.
My second challenge is taking on student teaching which will be a grueling experience but which I feel confident I can succeed at. I know it will not be easy, but I am determined!

God has truly blessed each of you with a wonderful, creative and inspirational gift, and it is a blessing to have you each share that with us....
My New Year's Wish is to continue to grow in the direction that never hurts anyone, but always blesses and enriches in some way....I am a Hospice Counselor and each day I am blessed by those that I serve and visit...they are my window and my inspiration each day to live life to the fullest and to be thankful for each moment, looking at it as a special gift, and never taking it for granted.

Happy New Year, all comments completed. Yah for me. Now onto my leap of faith. Learning to ask for help. Learning to ask for prayer. Trusting in others. It always has been a struggle for me. And, I am asking the Lord to give me Wisdom and insight, knowledge and indurance to know in my heart what you God and where you God want me to share my talents and time and with who'm. I also want to remember to thank God every day for be lead to the websites of talented women like those at ODBD, etc. These sites are my inspiration and I will come to them more often this year in hopes that I will take more time to create than sitting infront of this computer or watching TV. Thank you ODBD and all the ladies who work so hard to share their creativity. Thank you and Happy New everyone.

I completed all the blogs and enjoyed each and every one. I'm newly retired and plan to pursue the activities I thought I didn't have time for. Read more books, shape up my gardens, learn new techniques in card making, learn photo shop, volunteer, rejoin Audobon, resume sewing --- sounds busy, sounds wonderful.

This blog hop was just phenomenal as usual. I have only done ODB hops one other time but have not been disappointed by all of the talent shown!
I am not one for New Year's resolutions but I do want to do what God's leads me to do at my church, at my business, and with my friends and family as much as possible. Spreading Christian love and caring as my gift back to God.

My leap of faith is to write every day this year. I believe it is the gift and talent God has given me and I have not used or grown in the gift.
I will stop saying I want to become a writer. I will declare "I am a writer" and I will act accordingly
Thanks to all who shared their lovely creations.

I visited and commented on all of the blogs for this hop. It was a delightful tour of lovely and creative designs. My New Years Resolution and Leap of Faith is so over come my fear of using technology. As I push buttons and functions I am always afraid I will break something. I am determined this year to learn to use the Digital Camera and photo printer that my children gave to me.

I made it through all the hops and I just want to say what an inspiration it was. I always live by the motto that our destiny is planned and we are right where we need to be. I guess my resolution would be to just have faith in what is meant to be and realize the lesson I am to learn from it.

I have just finished the Blog Hop: A leap of Faith for January 2011. I was really excited and enthused after finishing and viewing all the lovely art these ladies made. I had no trouble posting to any blog. My New Years Leap of Faith will be to become and stay more organized. I will have more time to spend with my family and serving the Lord, if I am more organized. Also, I agree with Becky, James 1 is a good place to start. I need to watch what I say (and think), too.

What a fun morning, to sit with my cup of coffee and enjoy this new release. Wonderful inspiration from the designers. As I ponder the year ahead, I have lots of ideas to challenge me...Loose weight (like lots of people), share my faith more, and be disciplined in my stamp stamp spending. I love to purchase everything, but I am blessed to have so much, and want to give more instead in 2011. Happy New Year to all...!

Just finished the blog hop and my mouth is still on the floor! By far, this is my favorite release. I just have to have the whole release. Which goes against one of my New Year's resolutions - to use tools and supplies I already have (or just got for Christmas)! But it will help me with another resolution - to spend more time in my craft room both organizing and creating. I was able to leave a comment on all the blogs! Have a Happy and Healthy New Year.

I just completed the hop and loved having the opportunity to find some new places to visit with such imaginative and talented people.

My resolution? Our company is in the process of perpetual downsizing and people (out of fear of losing their jobs) are resorting to some unkind (and often, untrue) methods of pointing others' failures out to management. I have been fretting over this, but resolve to trust the Lord with His wisdom and ask Him to bolster my love for these frightened people and not judge.

I will also be keeping the dresser in my bedroom free of clothing, clean or dirty.

I also have some weight loss goals that I have been trying to reach for a few years...I will work on using the resources around me and not paying the expensive gym memberships.

Happy New Year Our Daily Bread. I look forward to spending 2011 with you!!!

Happy New Year to you all and thanks again for being such a Blessing this morning!

Happy New Year to everyone! I was able to tell each blog member how beautiful her creation was, and that's no lie! Each one was a masterpiece! I don't like resolutions because I always break them. I'm going to "try" to read my bible more, attend bible study regularly, and speak less, listen more!

"Colossians 3:14 - Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him." AND "Colossians 4:6 - Let your speech always be with grace, seasoined with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one."
Blessings in the new year!

I came, i saw, I learned! What more could you ask for. You have very talented artist and its soooooo fantastic to be able to share with Christian sisters. The stamps for January are amazing and would love to own them. There are just so many possibilities with this set and your designers have done a great job in demonstrating how differently they can be used.

Now for my answer to the question: “What are your New Years resolutions or leaps of faith you plan to take in 2011?” I want to get back to basics. Make time for the people I love. Focus on just a few things that the Lord wants me to do and not get so overloaded with extraneous "stuff", and reconnect with my husband, and as always lose those 10 to 15!

Happy New Year Everone!

I completed this amazing hop! You sure have the perfect set together! It is all great! I left comments on all of the participants. Thank you, Ladies for some incredible work.

My Leap of Faith for this Year, is to try to not organize everything with lists of lists and calendars all over the house. This year, I hope to be able to discern what the Lord, Jesus the Christ, wants me to be doing. I mean blog topics, the parts that I study this year...the people I let into my life. I want to Follow Him, and go where He asks...and not try to push myself through the door. This doesn't mean I want a messy house! I hope you can tell the difference.

I also want to take me Diabetes seriously. For some reason, I sometimes go weeks forgetting about it. I want to see food as a way to nourish my body, and not see food as love. I need to start to exercise...even with disabilities...and I have a goal of 25 pounds to lose this year.
