Announcing ODBD's Customer Contest for Second Scripture Series Favorites Set

Thank you for all your submissions.  The contest is now closed. We will notify the winners soon.

Announcing ODBD's
Customer Contest for the
Second Scripture Series Customer Favorites Set!

As part of our anniversary celebration, we are running a Contest for our "Second Scripture Series Customer Favorites Set"! (You can see the first Customer Favorites set HERE.)

We'd love to have your submissions for this contest! The contest will run from now until Mar. 31, 2011, 11:59pm est. If your verse is chosen to be in the Scripture Series Two Customer Favorites Set, you will receive the set free, your name on the package as the submitter of the verse (see Series 1 as example) plus you will be invited to serve as a guest designer for the release of your stamp on the ODBD Blog when it is released!

Here are the RULES.... PLEASE READ:
1. ONE verse per person! Multiple submissions will be disqualified.
2. Make sure your verse is one you would want to send someone on a card, not just a favorite verse.
3. If more than one person submits the same verse and it is chosen, the first person to submit the verse will be the winner.
4. Enter your submissions in the comment section below.
5. Be sure you leave a way for us to reach you with your submission!
6. PLEASE try to choose short verses. If they are too long Kelley reserves the right to shorten them to fit and to use a different bible version than you submitted.

Please understand that it will take some time for us to decide on the winners, so we can't promise an exact announcement date yet, but that is why we ask you to leave in your comment a way we can reach you. If you miss the post when the winners are announced you will be contacted via whatever method you give us. If you do not leave a way for us to reach you, you will need to see the post!

Below is a list of Scriptures already in use in ODBD Sets. Please be aware there are also some verses that will be in upcoming sets that we cannot share yet, but if per chance you should see a verse you submitted that was not selected but is in an upcoming set, it is because several sets have already been planned out and are in production.

We strongly suggest you check your verse with this list to be sure it isn't already in use.

John 4:4
"greater is he that is in you than he which is in the world."

I have always been drawn to this because if it is God will it is his way! But we will always have a greater power in our side than the evil which runs amuck among us.

This is a verse that always brings me such comfort. I don't see anything from Deuteronomy in your list.

"Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee."

I can't see my first comment, so I'll try again. My verse would have to be Psalm 3:3 KJV. When all seems to be unraveling around us, we who can say with confidence, "But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory and the lifter up of mine head" are a blessed people indeed!! When you read Psalm 3:1-5 and see how David trusted in the LORD, I am inspired to keep pressing on. We sing a song at church that quotes this scripture, we just sing it to HIM in praise!! It would be encouraging for so many situations. No matter which version you read it in, it's beautiful! Iris, Saved by Grace

I have one Scripture, and I chose it because the first time I read it, I felt like I had read the absolutely most amazing thing ever!

I would want all Believers to be sure they knew that they are a delight to the Lord!! What a loving word...delight! Here it is in several versions:

“He brought me forth also into a large place; He delivered me, because He delighted in me.” Psalm 18:19 KJV

“He led me to a place of safety; He rescued me because He delights in me.” Psalm 18:19 New Living Translation

“He brought me out into a broad place; He rescued me, because He delighted in me." Psalm 18:19 English Standard Version

“He brought me forth also into a large place; He was delivering me because He was pleased with me and delighted in me."

"The Lord God is my strength,

hinds feet, and makes me walk
on my high places."
This verse has always been an encouragement to me and I can see it being used to encourage others (sympathy, difficult circumstances,
facing a challenging situation, etc.)

Revelation 5:13-14

"To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb, be praise and honor, glory and might, forever and ever! Amen."

I was fortunate enough to attend Luther College and sing portions of Handel's Messiah in a choir of over 1,000 people under the direction of Weston Noble. To this day, the final songs of The Messiah, "Worthy is the Lamb" and "The Amen Chorus" move me to tears.

I'd love to have these verses as a stamp for Christmas and Easter cards in particular.
