  • Answer the question below.
Here is the order for the hop:

Connie
Becca
Lorelie
Betty
Now grab a cuppa... and enjoy the hop! When you get done, answer the question below:
Since today is April's Fools Day, we thought it would be fun to think about fun jokes or pranks you have played or had played on you. For those of you who were here last year you remember that the sticks played a fun joke on Kelley on April 1... we all switched cards for the hop and made Kelley guess who made which card. It was so fun hearing her guesses on who made each project!

So our question is this: What is the most fun joke or prank you have ever played or had played on you? If you have never played a joke or had one played on you, just tell us your favorite joke or tell us you don't have any. The whole idea is to just have fun!!!

Blessings to you!

Hopped all the way around with no problems. Loved all the beautiful creations, especially the masculine cards. My funniest prank is too long to explain, but it had to do with a lot of string & my mom having her hair up in curlers.

Not sure which post I need to comment on. This is the entry I started with. Anyway, beautiful designs, beautiful cards. Just awesome. No joke to share, sorry. I did make it to all the blogs and had no problems leaving comments on all. Thank you for sharing these designs and the chance to win one.

I have finished the hop. There were some amazing projects being displayed. The best joke: I played this trick on my DH. I applied to college and I was waiting for the the acceptance letter. I saw the acceptance letter online, but when I imformed my husband, I told him that I wasn't accepted, I even managed to cry. He was holding me and telling me how sorry he was. I couldn't take it anymore and I began to laugh (hard). He realized I was joking and he started laughing too. I know this was a little mean, but it was payback for a joke he pulled on my.

What an inspirational set of cards and projects! Really open the eyes to the many possibilities of these new items.

The funniest (and scariest) prank pulled on me. I was visiting a school and went out to get in my car, and went running back inside. Asked secretary if she's seen anyone out by the cars in the lot. NO. I looked out the window again as I started to call the police. I realized just before the call went through that my hubby had bought a vanity plate and put it on the car without my knowledge. It just didn't look right with the new plate!

What a lovely way to start the day. I traveled the whole blog hop without any problems, and every new blog was a glorious revelation and inspiration.

The best prank? Eons ago, when my husband and I were dating, we had both attended Bible study, but I left later then he did. When I came outside, I couldn't find my car, a little VW bug named Creampuff, anywhere. He and his buddies had picked it up and moved it around the corner! I couldn't figure out how the car had moved itself.

Looked at all the blogs and enjoyed all the wonderful designs. We played a joke on my son when his girlfriend and I went to visit relatives. She and I arrived the day before my son arrived. She is very much a city girl, so we taught her to drive the tractor. When my son arrived the next day she came over the hill driving the tractor and he fell to the ground laughing. He said we had reformed his city girl.

Left messages on all the blogs and they all did a great job once again. I have pulled many pranks in boarding school & college but and the one that my roommate & I pulled was using the small condiment packets & placing them under the toilet seats in the womens dorm. Needless to say the college stopped using the packets shortly after that one. Not sure I would do that one again.

Did the bunny hop all over the blogs - what fun! Another outstanding collection.
April fool - just this morning my husband said to the dog, "Dixie, you're going to the groomer today (which she hates)" and she immediately took off to hide. The "April Fools" didn't appease her; now I have to give her lots of extra love today; her feelers are hurt.

PS - used two different e-mail ID's on the blogs. If that's a problem, could you post it in the instructions? Thanks.

I have completed the hop and really enjoyed see all the lovely and beautiful creations. It sure was alot of fun. Don't really have any one funny prank or joke. Thank you for the wonderful blog hop and all the new stamps sets too. Love them all.

What fun. This is my first time participating in a hop. I was able to comment on all the blogs. What a talented design team. Their creations were spectacular. Can't wait to see more. I have no joke but really enjoyed reading comments of others. Thanks to everyone for sharing and the chance to win.

Hop, hop, hop~~finished! All of the creations are fabulous! Cannot wait to get my hands on that poppy die and stamp!
The best April Fool's joke was played by God! He gave us one of the worst snowstorms in MA on April 1st, 1996 (?) He must have thought it was pretty funny, he did the same thing today, LOL! (I'm in FL now however!)

I loved the hop!!!! I think the funniest prank I can think of is....my daughters (and I helped a little)put a rubber band on the spray hose of the kitchen sink. When my husband went to turn on the water, it sprayed him in the face. He loved it and was so proud of their ingenuity. They don't prank me because that could be a dangerous thing to do to mom!!! :)

What a great release! Loved all of the breadsticks creations! We just played a prank on my FIL this morning. Yesterday was his last day of work- he officially retired! I had my 13 year-old son call him this morning and say that he was from Human Resources and they were sorry but his paper work was incorrect and he is unable to retire on a Thursday- he needs to work a full week in order to be eligible for retirement benefits! OMGosh he almost fell for it!!(until my son started laughing) My MIL thought it was hilarious, my FIL not so much :)!

Fabulous blog hop - I am sooooo inspired to create something new.

As for my funny prank.... My husband and I were camp administrators of a Christian kids camp for 6 years in BC, Canada. One year the summer staff came to me and asked if they could pull a prank on my husband. It was a fabulous plan and was pulled of flawlessley. The kids took all the furnature out of my husbands office and set it up in the field by the water, including his whiteboard and curtains. Then they laid down a tarp (this was my contribution to the plan) and covered it with sand. They added a lawn chair, table, hat, glass, and cold drink. When my husband came to the office that morning he found that the outside was inside and the inside was outside. Hubby posed for pictures in his new tropical office with the staff and then proceeded to spend the rest of the day in his office outside doing regular camp business. He was very surprised and good natured about the whole thing.

Linda said...

I forgot to answer the question. Hopefully it will okay to answer in two parts. When my children were young we loved to tease them. We had been studying about Noah and his ark in the Bible. When the kids woke up we told them that we had been flooded. I probably wouldn't have been too funny but we lived high up on a hill and the kids jumped out of bed to see.

Awed at all the stops by the beautiful stamps and unbelievable creativity of all the team members. So inspiring. As for the April Fool pranks, I love to prepare foods that look like something they aren't...i.e., cake that looks like meatloaf, candy shaped to look like hotdogs, etc. The reactions are priceless.

Totally enjoyed my morning blog hopping at ODBD. As for jokes too many to share, but lets just say for some reason my son has always been able to prank his father in a fun way on April fools day and we have had many long and hard laughs about them!!! Laughter is good for the soul!

I'm back! Could not leave a comment for Chris and I loved her birdhouse! Seriously bummed about that -- you'll tell her though, right?
I am not a fan of April Fool's pranks -- I have three brothers who were mean mean mean pranksters -- and if God had let them stay creeps it would be easier, but no, they are all 3 great husbands and dads -- but I steer clear of pranks. One time though we got this hilarious prank email update on tax law (it's what I do, sorry), that was really, really funny -- and some of it was just plausible!

I just completed my first ever blog hop and what a pleasure it was. The skills and artistry on display are stunning and I've picked up a few ideas too. Thank you for the opportunity.
The funniest joke I've seen today reports how the British Royal Family are planning to combat the severe snow storms forecast for the end of April (and Prince Williams's wedding). Apparently they are planning to put ski's on the Royal carriage to ensure a safe journey for bride and groom! LoL

Karen Wedding said...

I loved going to all the gals blogs and see what they are making with all the wonderful sets you have. I don't remember having an April Fool's joke played on me, but my husband's family are practical jokers and have luckily never had to experience one, but have seen many played on others.

June Pegram said...

The Blog Hop was a success- very easy to navigate.
Okay- the funniest joke I ever played was on my husband. He used to wear these ugly goggle sunglasses and I just didn't like them. So one day I put black ink all over the inside if the glasses. Well He put them on none the wiser and of course- you know what happened when he removed them, but the classic part was when he lifted them off of his eyes for a little while and shifted them slightly to the top of his bald head. I literally cried all day laughing because he was working outside and had no idea. He had huge black rings around his eyes and on his bald head ALL DAY! Funniest thing ever.........

Chris R. said...

Visited and commented for all designers. The designers did a fabulous job on their cards/projects (as usual). Really don't remember any April Fool's pranks I've done or that were done by/on me. I have a friend that posted all the things she's doing today on facebook. Glad I'm not in that household. LOL

Taylor U. said...

I hopped all around - what stunning work by ALL of the designers!

And because I hate jokes being pulled on me, I never pull them on other people! SO I don't have funny stories to share :)

Toucan Scraps said...

what an awesome collection of cards.

I have Aspergers, so practical jokes etc are completely alien to me - I find that they are very definitely not funny, but very often too strange or bewildering to comprehend.

Really enjoyed the hop. What a talented group of womwn. I love the sentiments used as some of them are among my favorites. No problems with leaving comments.

Well April is notorious in the north for snow storms in April. One of the biggest being in "96. Well this morning we woke up to SNOW. Gotta love New England weather but we are so done with shoveling.

Very fun blog hop. About April 1st: My young granddaughter took all the soap products out of the shower she shares with her germaphobe OCD sister, and hid them. Her sister freaked out and had to borrow stuff from her Mom (how could she do that to me Mom????)

I got around all the Blogs. Wonderful cards. I loved all the guy cards. They are so hard for me to do. Great inspiration. As for the question...I can't remember all the April Fools jokes, except the obvious--shoes are untied, you have something on your face. My daughter got married on April 1st. That was a good day!!

I just finished the hop, and never cease to be amazed at the wonderful talent/creativity of your DT. God hasn't blessed me with that kind of talent - but, I sure can appreciate and cheer on those who do have it! As far as jokes are concerned . . . everybody who knows me knows that it takes me a while to "catch" on, which gives everybody a laugh. It's not unusual for me to start laughing AFTER everybody else is finished laughing {because I've just "gotten" it). And, sometimes a joke even has to be explained before I get it. So, needless to say, I also don't have the "talent" for coming up with pranks. Thank you for offering an opportunity to win some of your fabulous stamp sets!

TN Granny said...

I made it all the way with no problems leaving comments with all the fine designers. Every card was totally awesome. My story was the time the guys from work got my keys and hid my car so when I got back to the station I freaked out and they let me believe it was stolen for over an hour.

Jan said...

Oh what lovely, lovely cards, gift sets, and even a birdhouse! Love the new stamp sets! No problems with any of the postings. . .I think :D

One time my husband and I were going to a class together and he said it would be embarrassing because the course instructors knew me (not as a student but professionally) and everyone in the class would be looking at us. . .so, as I got out of my side of our tall vehicle, I put on a pair of those funny glasses with a nose and mustache and as I came around the other side, he looked at me and said, "WHAT?" I replied, "I think it will be okay, no one will recognize me now!" We both started laughing and he realized that he was being a bit silly! :D

The April fool joke I remember was from my office... my best friend (everyone should have one!) had her husband call the office to tell us they had won the VA lottery...not! and they laughed as several of us ran around like a crazy women looking for her to tell her the great news! Anyway we had a good laugh!

"Thank you" to all the very talented ladies on your team -- such inspiration!! It was so nice to see masculine-themed cards. Didn't have any problems leaving messages. Can't remember any jokes played on me, but I'm sure there were some. Not a joke-player (probably afraid of the consequences, haha).

Mari K. said...

I just completed the hop. It was fabulous as always. There were so many beautiful creations I may have to hop through again. I don't have any jokes to share. I really don't like April Fool's Day that much, people always went too far with their pranks when I was younger, so when I got married and had kids we started a No Fools Day rule.

PatS said...

WOW this blog hop was so awesome and inspirational. My hat is off to ODBD for an outstanding April release...so many must haves in this selection! Your DT is so talented...the best of the best in my book! April Fools Day was always the day my identical twin & I would try to mix up the teachers by sitting in each others assigned desks at school. This always worked in our younger days and so much fun for us and our friends.

Hello I made it all around the hop but did so as Anonymous mostly because I do not understand what many of the other options are. I have no idea what a URL is so I hope that is still ok? I had to attempt a couple times to post on Dawn's site but that was mostly my computer being slow I think.
The only April Fools I ever did that really was funny in my opinion what when I had first received my drivers license and told poor old dad I scratched his new car! It was real enough to really scare him but I didn't scratch his car so it got him...Bless his heart, he laughed.

I'm pretty new to blog hopping but love it. I went to all the blogs and am so inspired and impressed. Had no problems with any of them. I'm not really a prank player, just a teaser, so can't remember anything. Which makes me sound dull and lacking in humor, which isn't me really.

Catherine said...

What an amazing and inspiring hop! All the designers did such an amazing job!
I hopped all the way, and the only snap I hit was on Becca's blog, but I think my comment took.
I honestly can't remember ever playing a joke or having one played on me for April Fool's. Not that neither ever happened, just that I can't remember. LOL!
Thanks for a fab hop & the chance to win.

Well I finished the blog hop with no problems. What a bunch of talented ladies. I am sure going to have to try and match some of these masterpieces. As for pranks, I am not much of a prankster, but I sure do laugh when I here of what others have thought up. Can't wait to get my hands on some of these punches.

ok, i visited and commented on all of the blogs. there were so many just beautiful cards. it's so great to have these hops to get my juices flowing. now for my funniest april fools joke. this is the condensed version it was not suppose to be an april fools joke but it turned out that it happende on april 1st.

back in the dark ages, around the mid 1980's i got home and there was a message on the machine for me to contact the bank. so i called and they said maam we have rejected one of your checks for insufficent funds. well we all know that sometimes our dh will pull a fast one but it was payday and we had plenty of money in the bank. so we rushed over to the bank to check on the mystery check. when we got there they said a check for $3,015 was rejected. i looked in my check register and saw one we made out to our insureance company for $315. the bank or someone had encoded it wrong. some april fool that was.

ok so that wasn't the shortest version but a good trick on me just the same.

bernietom47 said...

Wow this hop knocked my sox off and took my breath away. Such talented ladies! Such amazing creations. The new releases are fantastic!
We played a wonderful joke on my mother on her 75th birthday. We got all the kids to come home from around the country. One at a time we walked in her door and pulled up a chair at her dinner table as though we still lived there. We were totally unexpected. We are usually a very loud family, everyone talking at once but no one even looked up when the next one walked in and no spoke to anyone but Mom who was speechless. When the grand kids and the great grands started arriving and doing the same time Poor Mom was sure she was losing her mind. She really thought she was seeing things.
Thanks for a wonderful hop, great inspiration and the chance to win.
Blessings Bernie

I left a comment on each blog as I loved the cards, hope my computer didn't act up and delay posting anywhere as it is running very slow now. My memory is so bad these days, I can't remember any April Fool's jokes but when I was teaching preschool, there wasn't an April 1 that went by without the kids constantly trying to pull pranks all day long, and these kids were only 4 years old!!!

Dani said...

Hopped around and saw every one's lovely projects!

I used to play April Fool's jokes but then I came to realize that it could hurt some people's feelings. So I haven't done anything to anyone in years.

The cards were lovely and I was inspired by seeing their creativity. I could not post to Becca's site and I may have posted on the wrong page of last blog on the hop. I don't have any April Fool's jokes, but thanks for the reminder to have fun.

Well, my husband just called me and said "you're not going to believe this, but Wendy's burned to the ground!" (my favorite fast food place)the joke is, for the FIRST TIME, I did not buy his story - he has always caught me on April 1 - 25 years and I finally have the last laugh! Woo Hoo!

This hop was just wonderful - every creation was an inspiration. The most fun "practical joke" I every played was actually on my twin girls when they were five. They wanted Cabbage Patch dolls badly and at that time they were $60+. Since I couldn't afford them, I bought a pattern and made them each one complete with adoption papers and several outfits. Then I told them they'd better "march themselves into my bedroom" in a very stern voice. They were sure they were in trouble (again). And then I introduced them to their new dollies. They were ecstatic!!!

All the blogs were great; wonderful to see the variety of ways to use the set, the way they coordinate, and how gorgeous the cards are! Funniest prank: turned out my prank was pranked on me! Too long to explain! Reminds me of the proverb of setting a net for bird! All in good fun, though!

I grew up with older parents and in an old-school type parenting so pranks were strongly frowned upon. But I do have a cute quote from my daughter that I thought was pretty cute :)

When I was 4 months pregnant with our second daughter, it had been so long since I was pregnant I didn't have any maternity clothes, so I was trying to squeeze into some sweatpants until I could find some maternity ones. I then jokingly asked my 3 year old daughter how I looked. She said:

"You look good, Mom, not pretty!"

LOL!!! How could you not laugh at the absolute unhindered honesty but love of a child? :)

Great stories and Wonderful cards and ideas from the DT!!!! Thank you for another great release and wonderful Christian stamps :)

Made all the blogs beautiful cards on every one's blog. Love all the stamp sets that were used. Becca's was the only blog that would not take my comment. I don't play tricks. But my boss years ago love to and he pulled one on my boyfriend. He would put a big brown paper bag over the parking meter in front of the store where I worked. He wrote on it reserved for David. He did a lot of other tricks but too many to tell. Mary L Schreiber

So enjoyed the blog hop. Left comments telling everyone how beautiful their cards were. Such talented designers.

Just finished looking at all the fabulous cards made by some awesomely talented ladies. I had to grab a tissue to clean up the drool. I've never been one to pull jokes on people because I hate to be embarrassed. However, my husband is a real prankster. Many years ago I got home after work and he was hiding in the closet. While I was changing clothes he stepped out and just said "boo". It scared me so much I almost passed out. It's funny now though. Thanks for the wonderful blog and a chance to win some beautiful prizes.

This blog hop was great like always. My cup of tea was gone by the 2nd one I went to. So much to take in and admire but I made it through all of them. It was a nice treat to see the masculine cards and I love the moose stamp!
My father played an April fool trick on my sister and I one year. We goofed around when we were supposed to do the dishes together. Dad decided we needed some disciplining.... We each had to bend over a chair and we closed our eyes for a spanking. We heard a whopping noise and we both cried. We each thought the other had been spanked! He told us to get up ...he had whacked the kitchen table instead!!

Hopped all through the blog. Had trouble on Lorelie',Betty's and one ohter blog I forgot to keep track of. Said the url(my e-mail address) had illegal letters or something. If i didn't enter the e-mail address then it accepted it. The best prank I have is too involved but it cinolved a traveling fake mail box between us and a friend. It made quite a few trips back and forth between our yards. I am new to blogging so I hope I am doing it right.

This was a very inspiring blog hop both, spritually and creatively! Thank you for inviting me to come along! As for my favorite prank, having an older brother I could almost write a book, but the one that stands out right now was one time when he had been really mean to me, I staged a fake runaway. I told everyone that he might contact and had them play along, including my Mom. So when she came home from work she asked him where I was so he began contacting everyone to try and find out where I was, everyone played along so after really sweating it he had to confess to my Mom that he had been mean to me and I had left. After he received a good fussing from my Mom my friend and I finally had mercy and came out of hiding laughing our heads off! He learned a lesson; for awhile anyways. Again thank you for this chance to win and for the wonderful inspiration!

Your blog features the most talented group of artists with the most beautiful cards. Stopped at all and am sorry it is over. May go back and do it again. Best prank was when good friends called in the middle of the night on my wedding night. Funny now, not then! Thanks for an amazing couple of hours and a chance to win a fab stamp set.

Thank you for that wonderful blog hop. I just love seeing all the beautiful cards. I haven't pulled many April Fool's pranks. My dad had one on played on him. His friends put tons of alarm clocks in the drop ceiling set to go off in a couple of minute intervals in the night. It didn't take to many going off before my dad got out the flashlight to get them all down. Thanks so much for the giveaway.

Hopped around all the blogs and was so impressed - and inspired - with all the beautiful projects. So much talent! I left posts on all the blogs. My funniest April Fool's joke was years ago when I worked for a construction company. I cleared this first with the boss but sent out a memo that the town office had called and water would be shut off from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for repairs. Most of the female workers caught on but it was so funny when I walked up the hall a few minutes later and there was a long line of men waiting to use the bathroom!

The best prank, so far, that I fell for was today on Google! Go to the "Google Motion" beta! They are very clever! I searcheda way to leave a comment to the webmaster too! LOL. Very clever without scaring someone! I have had scary pranks pulled on me and life is difficult enough without being frightened. Peace and God Bless all of your for your continued sucess.

Thanks for the great hop! I've found new blogs that I'll be following now. My best prank was for my husband's 60th birthday party. I gave my husband a surprise birthday party at the same hotel that my daughter had had a wedding reception at the day before. He thought we were just going out to dinner somewhere the night of his birthday, but just as we were leaving the house, I had someone from the hotel call us at home and say there had been some damage from the wedding reception that we needed to pay for. He was not happy at all, so when we arrived at the hotel and opened the doors to a party room full of people he thought he was in the wrong room--he didn't recognize anyone. He hurried out of the room and I had to drag him back in and hold him there until he realized what was going on. I've never seen anyone so surprised. It was so much fun.

I had no issues posting on any of the sites... all the cards and projects were a huge inspiration!

My April Fool's joke bordered on cruel and unusual punishment.. as i was in peri menopause several years ago... i announced to my DH that i was pregnant.. the look on his face was priceless... and if i had wanted to be cruel I would have continued the joke instead of instantly sparing him any further grief or additional gray hairs! it became a tradition... every year he expects me to make that announcement... and very grateful each year that we have the children we have, but are done with the majority of child rearing duties as they are nearly adults now.... and awaiting to play the grandparent role sometime in the future...

Thank you for the opportunity to win some awesome prizes!!!

I left comments at all of the blogs.

4 months after giving birth to triplets I called my husband at home from work and told him that I was pretty sure I was pregnant again. Because he was at home taking care of three babies he was not aware of what day it was. After we hung up I promptly forgot my joke. Later that day when we spoke again he hestantly asked me when I would know for sure. "Know what for sure?" I asked. "If you're pregnant." I cracked up laughing. I had forgotten that I had told him that!!!

About a joke - not very many practical jokes lately, except maybe life itself! It has been a roller coaster ride lately, so the best thing is to just laugh and go with it! Have a great April Fool's day!

I have just finished hopping through all of the fabulous cards and projects. Wonderful!
I can't remember any April Fool's jokes that I've played, but as a teacher, my young students like to try to fool me. I play along so that I don't disappoint them!

I have helped plan many pranks on the folks we could't get my mom in the house for a surprise party so my brother fell out the front door like he was having a heart attack. She nearly had one. I have completed the hop. I had trouble with Becca and Betty's sites. Everything else was fine.

Every card was just perfect. Lots of good ideas. I left a comment on every blog.
I only play one prank that back fired on me. I replace sugar with salt in the sugar bowl. My dad was very angry. I was about 10 years old.

Just finished the blog. No problems. Loved seeing the new stamps and how people are using them. My husband proposed on April fools day. He said that way if I said NO that he could say "JUST JOKING". We are still married 27 years later. Thanks for the blog hop!

Had a wonderful time viewing and commenting on all the design team sites. Great designs, lots of inspiration. Love all the new ODBD stamps and spellbinder dies.
I tried 3 times to leave a comment of Becca's blog but it never appeared on her page.

Again, another fun blog. All the cards are gorgeous and got alot of inspiration along the way. A joke some coworkers and I wanted to pull (never did it) was for each one of us, about every 10 minutes, call-off sick on April Fool's Day. Thanks for the fun hop.

I was able to leave my comments without a big problem. The DT have outdone themselves this time. Really beautiful cards and so inspirational. Love your new releases.

What an amazing hop with so many beautiful creations I'm so glad I was able to leave comments on all.
The best prank would be from my youngest son as he always manage to pull an April Fool's prank on me. He called to say that he and my daughter-in-law were expecting triplets. Now if he would have told me twins I might have believe him but for once I was able to stop him before he got the better of me.

I didn't start out to do this blog hop! =) I made a visit to Grace's blog to leave a special message for her, then went over to Dawn's blog because of something Grace said to me. The projects I saw in those two places sent me back here to start at the beginning! Wow! Great stapmps and great projects. As to jokes, I'm not a joking kind of person, although I do appreiate the funny things that happen in life spontaneously.

Silly fingers that hit the wron keys! The above comment from 'e' is really from me! Guess this 'spontaneous' joke is on me!! LOL

Loved the blog hop - very inspiring.

I just had a friend send an email saying that after much thought she had decided to give up stamping because of all her other responsibilities. I was so disappointed, but then scrolled down to the bottom of the message to see a very large 'APRIL FOOLS'. What a relief.

Have finished the hop, but again for some reason was not able to go to Julie's blog. I'll try from work on Monday, but my home puters just don't let me on her site. All the Sticks are working their hardest yet again though, beautiful work! The funniest prank I ever had done to me, was my kids set the clocks ahead an hour after I went to bed the night before. You can imagine the rest. Life is so much fun and I was so very blessed. Thanks again to all the breadsticks for their hard work and beautiful reveals! Bleassings to all

Well I've hopped my way to all the wonderful blogs and landed back here where I started!! Enjoyed every minute of it. I know bunches of good clean jokes and been involved in a few pranks over the years. You have to get up pretty early in the morning to "fool" me, and a friend must have set their alarm clock one day. They had me convinced that I was being summoned for jury duty. They called and said they were from the sheriff's department and not to worry they would provide a baby sitter. Oh it was very elaborate. Then it dawned on me something was a little fishy! It was all in good fun and they had me going for a little while. Oh the memories, thanks for causing me to remember such sweet times. Iris, Saved by Grace

Once again I have hopped around the blogs and seen amazingly beautiful cards. The breadsticks have excelled once again.
My favourite memory of April Fools day was from last year.
There is just DH and I at home, and DH is a retired plumber.... I walked into the laundry, making sure DH was within earshot, gasped and said "Oh no, what a mess... can you come here"... he immediately assumed that there was something drastically wrong involving water.... we both had a good laugh over that one!!

Jan said...

I made it through the awesome gallery/blog of the most beautiful cards!! If tI could have my choice.i could never pick...wtg girls!!
The best aprils fool joke played on me was one time my hubby got me up early and told me there was a Moose in our yard.and I went flying to look, and he yelled April;s Fool...that was before we did have moose, now we do, they were introduced to outr area a few years ago...so his joke wouldn't work today!! thanks Girls!! hugs Jan Keen

Finished hopping all the blogs! Was able to leave comments on all. Great cards and other projects. Very wonderful new stamps, sentiments and die-cut! Thanks for the great inspirations and a chance to win! No jokes, but I have a friend whose birthday is April 1st...it is always easy to remember this date!

I had a lovely warm cupa mocha and spent hours looking at the blogs! What beautiful stamps for the April release! I don't expect to win anything (I don't usually) but I had an awesome time looing at the cards and reading the various blogs. Someday I will have my own blog... The birds corners, the stamps praising God and the poppy are my favorites...but boy would like to win the big prize!! lol
As far as gags...well I really don't remember any that were played on me.(although I remember hearing "gotcha" at lot and laughing till tears ran dowm my cheeks! I can never think of a good gag for April Fools day so don't usually do that ...just have a fun day. Today was great fun seeing all the creativity..I smiled a lot! Diana Walsh

I completed the blog hop and I did not have any trouble commenting on any of the blogs. My head is so filled with the beautiful creations and I got so many good tips for products and techniques along the way.

The funniest April Fools joke that I was in one happened when I worked at a high school. Each day one of the secretaries had to publish a daily bulletine to put in the teacher's mail boxes at the end of the school day. With the help of a couple of other people I retyped the bulletin and went out and told her that she had made a terrible typo in the bulletin. Instead of typing the word "this" that she had mixed the letters up and typed "s---". She ran to the mail boxes just as the bell rand to signal the end of the day and was pulling the bulletins out of the mail boxes. When she saw us convulsed in laughter she looked at what she had typed and there was no typo. She was a good sport and started laughing too. In time she got even with us.

I hopped to all the DT's sites and I have to tell you, they did a wonderful job using the new set of stamps!!!

When I was younger, I was driving down the road listening to the radio.
The DJ's was talking about that the phone lines where going to be down because the phone company needed to blow out the lines. (this was before cell phones came out) Forgetting what day it was, I called my boyfriend ( husband now) and told him that they said the lines had dust in them and that they had to blow them out!! Of course he had to tell all his friends about the prank and that the whole day I believed it.
Ok, yes I was blond at the time!!
And to this day I have not lived it down!!

WOW! What beautiful stamps you're offering this month! Your designers really outdid themselves too! I visited all the sites and was blown away by all the lovely projects. The best April Fool's day joke that was played on me was when I was working as a supervisor for a customer service department and one-by-one each of my employees called in to say they were sick, going to be late, etc. I really starting panicking when it got close to opening time....then they all walked in! It was a good laugh. Thanks for offering such wonderful blog candy.Jo4Him

I left a message on each designers blog . I love the Poppy stamp & die as well as the bird corners . The funniest prank I can recall is when a teenage friend of my son decided to play an April Fools joke on me and my next door neighbor. He carefully transplanted our flowers to each other garden. I thought I heard his voice before dawn, but I dismissed it . i laughed when I saw what he had done, but my neighbor was quite old and when she saw her flowers were gone and others in their place she was almost in tears . He was careful not to destroy any of the plants so Danny , my son and I helped move them back where they belonged . I pretended to be upset with him , but deep down I was laughing at his prank

I had a wonderful time! It was great to see all those fresh ideas. I was able to complete the hop, but I'm not sure my comment on Becca's page saved correctly. Or there might be two of them there now. :( Poor Becca!
We never really pulled April Fools pranks on each other, but one April 1st I bit into my sandwich at lunch and found my mother had replaced the meat and cheese with paper cut outs of meat and cheese - along with a note telling me that she loved me. (And money was hidden in the lunch box to buy a real hot lunch. Such a treat!)

Here's my joke:

Two roaches were munching on garbage in an alley when one engages a discussion about a new restaurant.

"I was in that new restaurant across the street," said one. "It's so clean! The kitchen is spotless, and the floors are gleaming white. There is no dirt anywhere--it's so sanitary that the whole place shines."

"Please," said the other roach frowning. "Not while I'm eating!"

Ok my daughter tried to pull a prank on my husband and I a few years back. She unscrewed the shower head and put some food coloring in it. We didn’t get stained but it took me a few minutes to figure out why my water was blue while the water was warming up.

I love your stamps. just got the 3rd anniversary set. Can’t wait for next years verses. God bless you.

Beautiful cards and projects by the DT. I finished the hop and I'm so inspired!!
I know I have played and have been played on April 1 but for the life of me cannot remember any off the top of my head. One thing that I think is funny about this day and I hope I don't offend is that April Fools Day is the holiday for atheists, in the Book of Psalms it says "A fool says in his heart there is no God" so perhaps we should protest that they have a holiday since they are trying to take away all mention of Christ and make everything secular. ;-)but then I remember "do not render evil for evil"

I hopped all around and feel like a rabbit! Great ideas and lots of inspiration for all of us. I didn't get a confirmation on Becca's site (Amazaing Paper Grace) so I hope I did it right. Funniest April fools joke-my neighbor was just finishing up building a new deck. My husband got a stake and we walked into our backyard and started taking about where to have the satillite dish installed (back in the 80's when they were REALLY big). The neighbor heard us and asked what we were doing. We explained we were having a Dish installed. He went right in and spent the next hour calling for estimates on a new fence. We called him after an hour and told him "APRIL FOOLS"!!! He was very relieved.

What a fun hop!!! Every design was beautiful (even the men's cards). No problems leaving comments.

The meanest trick played on me was by my oldest brother. Since I have three brothers, I was a bit of a tomboy growing up. One year I caught a young cotton tail bunny to raise. After eating a wonderful dinner of fried chicken, I went out to feed my bunny only to find it gone. I ran in the house to ask my brothers to come outside to help me find it. My oldest brother told me we didn't need to look for it since it was what we had just eaten for dinner. Needless-to-say, I had a childhood melt-down, went running to my mother to ask her why she had cooked my pet bunny. It took some time for her to calm me down and convince me that I had not eaten my bunny. She made my brother return it to the cage and he got one heck-of-a rear warming from my dad for that one. His April's Fool joke backfired on him that year!!!

I do remember when I lived in NY, my friend and I had just come out of the ladies room and were on the elevator to leave the building. She worked in the fashion district. We were almost out the door when I heard snickering from behind me. When we turned around my friend saw that my skirt was stuck in my panty hose. Very embarrasing. I am so glad we hadn't made it to the street yet. Now whenever I wear a skirt, I am obsessivly checking the back to make sure it is down.

She was a "kidder" to everyone she met. I can't remember any but I think of her around this time of year. She would have laughed knowing that her funeral was on April 1st 9 years ago. I miss her but she could make you laugh. Thank you for the Blog Hop! Blessings to all.

One April Fools day the hosts of a morning radio show I was listening to on the way to work said that the Dept of Transport or (whomever the department is that decides the road rules) were going to ban driving for about 15 mins each evening when the sun was going down because sun glare was causing too many accidents. They were so serious and did a fake interview etc and me being naive I believed them! The girls at work reminded me it was April Fools Day.

He was trying to eat breakfast and running late...it was the last thing he wanted to hear. And thankfully, since it was April Fool's he couldn't say a thing after he ran out to check! :D

Thanks for sharing all these great designers!!! :)

I was one of the secretaries in a large company in a GREAT department. After about 6 or 7 years some of my "boys" were asked to form their own department and they took me with them. I had my WORD PROCESSOR - yes you read right - LOL! for about a year and my WHOLE world was on it. Well my 4litte scamps managed to make it "broken" by the time I arrived April 1. For the life of me I could not fix it myself which sent me back to haul out my TYPEWRITER and let's not forget the CARBON PAPER! The little devils hung on until just before afternoon coffee break which they served ME along with an April Fools cake with candles that didn't blow out, coffee and a whole lot of laughs! And I couldn't figure WHY they had kept looking at me all day! Then suddenly my Word Processor was working - imagine that!

To answer your question, I haven't had a joke played on me or done one clever enough to post here, but I did see one that a teacher did to his class. Here's a link: http://teachinfourth.blogspot.com/2011/03/april-fools-day-prank-bit-of-repost.html

I made it through all the blogs and loved every beautiuful creation. I remember a long time ago arguing with one of the neighbors about our kids and her dog was playing around our feet and being a pest while we talked. Well finally she started yelling leave lady, leave lady all the time I thought she was talking to the dog but she was talking to me. I was so embarrassed. I guess the joke was on me. :)

This is my second blog hop. Truly amazing work that is done by these ladies. I was able to leave comments on each blog. First time I could not so I am excited about that. As for jokes, when we were seniors in high school we moved all the weight room equipment outside. We did it while it was dark so none of the staff knew anything about it until the next morning. It was a good clean joke and had fun doing it. Thanks for the chance to win some new stamps. I have been making a list as I went through the blogs. Not sure which I will pick for sure if I win. Hugs.

I was able to post on all blogs! I was hoping the question would not be which one I liked best--too hard to decide, they were all so gorgeous.
The best joke: The folks at my Mom's work did this to her. She was ready for retirement, and on FRIDAY, her last official day they had a small gathering for lunch--all she really wanted. On the following Monday, they called her at the house and told her to hurry and come in, she had to sign some last minute papers, or her retirement money would be held up for 6 months. When my MOM showed up, they took her to a fully decorated room, the best food, cake, and gifts (it was also her 65th birthday) and she was very surprised. (Even better, because you could never surprise MOM.) All us kids were so happy, as sadly, she passed away on that Wednesday, suddenly of a heart attack. All her 250 friends in attendance (some where not workers of the company, but were invited) were so glad they could get a chance to visit with their friend Maxine, just one more time. (If you ever want to know, should I throw a surprise party for someone, the answer is YES!)

I have gone to each of the Blog Hop stops and enjoyed all the art. The funnest April fool joke was yesterday believing a morning TV show host that they had an interview with a man that had proof of aliens and flying saucer crash.

Fantastic blog hop with so many amazing creations!! It has been a while since I have completed a blog hop...but I would LOVE to win some of these new stamps!!

My junior year in high school, I started crying during lunch in the cafeteria, saying my dad was being transferred to TX (I live in IL). I was sad to move from my home town before my last year of high school. I had everyone in the school convinced it was true, even though it was an April Fool's joke! In fact, I forgot to tell my kid sister, a freshman at the time, about the joke, and she was mad that my parents didn't tell her we were moving! Even the next MONTH, one of my teachers actually said to me "We're gonna miss you around here next year." Guess I put on quite a performance!

I completed the hop, with no difficulties. The funniest April Fool's Day trick was when I was a teacher. Someone put a cake in the teachers' lounge. the "cake" was made of new kitchen sponges, the kind that are cellulose, with holes in them, not the ones that look more solid and made of foam. She put a layer of these sponges in a cake pan, like Pyrex or something. She put a layer of canned cake frosting on top of it. She put a sign by it inviting people to help themselves, and put a knife by it.
People would cut and cut and never get through the sponge. By then, all those who had already been tricked were laughing and the jig was up. You could wash the frosting off the sponges and save them for the next group you want to trick!

I have enjoyed seeing all the great and wonderful projects in this blog hop! So much creativity here! I finished and I am here to leave my last comment. My birthday is April 1st and my name is April. No fooling!! No jokes played on me this birthday. Was treated very well! BUT one birthday when I was a child, someone gave me a rock as a gag gift.

Another fantastic hop!! What wonderful new stamp sets and I loved all the great cards/projects I saw as I completed this hop. Now for the funniest prank - Shortly after having an amazing weekend at a scrapbook cottage that one of my friends, Kim, won, another friend won the same kind of weekend at a stamp convention. We were so excited and called Kim to let her know but she didn't answer. One of the male vendors took my phone and left her a really crazy message and then passed it to another male vendor who called her again and pretended to be my husband and was all upset and looking for me. She called after a short time, all upset and worried, and left me a message. When I called her back, I played along with this but then we finally told her it was a joke and that we were going to get to enjoy another great weekend. It was so funny but I am not sure she has totally forgiven me!!

I completed the hop. I am truly amazed at the incredible talent from all the designers - lots of neat ideas all with their own special spin.
As for pranks - our town has several basketball teams and we call it hometown rivalry so anyway my husband and I like different teams and on the day of the big shoot-out I hang signs everywhere - in least suspecting areas go Muskees and even sent a fax to his office. Karen A

I hopped around with some difficulty. I am fairly new to the blog hops and I think I may have stared in the wrong place. I left a comment on all the sites. Could not see my post on the following blogs Angie and Chris. When I was young we put nail polish on the boys fingernails at parties, if they fell asleep. They were not too happy. Dianne

I love these blog hops...I just need to remember them before the afternoon they are due! I need more time to "oooh" and "aaaah!" A big thank you to all of you talented artists who share your art with us, and to Kelley for having the best team anywhere! I visited each designer's blog and continue to be amazed at the creativity of each artist, and the different ways they used items! It was wonderful to see! I left comments for everyone, and had no problems getting around the hop!

Speaking of the hop...
This is the closest thing to a real hop, prank or joke I know of... I'm sure my husband will mind me posting it!

Every night (for about 12 years now) as we are getting ready for bed, and brushing our teeth...we start humming the song "The Locomotion." (I think it is from the 50's.) Well, the entire time we are brushing-- we do our best to do the twist and dance around, all in our tiny Master Bathroom. We even do our dance number when we go to hotels or when we visit with family. Imagine my 88 (almost 89-year-old) Father-in-Law's face when he walked by and saw us doing our version of the twist and humming loudly while brushing our teeth! He couldn't stop laughing...and either can we most nights! What a great way to end a night! Brush-a-Brush-a!

He IS Able,
Traci S.

p.s. Don't knock it until you've tried it. Dave has thanked me for those simple laughs in our marriage many times...as I thank him, also!

The talent displayed on this hop is NO JOKE!! Every one on your team is so very gifted.
There is great inspiration to be gleaned here. Thanks so much for sharing your talents with the rest of us. I am headed to my craft space to see if I can make a pretty for your Birds challenge....Jokes, My dad is a good one for pulling fools out in April. He pulled a quick one on my 12 YO yesterday, but asking him to load a 50# bag of potatoes onto a cart to put into his truck.. My son saw nothing funny in the April Fools.... that followed. But he was nearly a good sport!! Now that is not so funny, but I dont know any others : )

I dont remember too many but this year at work the computer guy put a sign on our copy machine saying that new software was installed that made the machine voice activated. With very specific instructions ending with "say start," most of the staff ended up yelling at the machine when it didn't start. April Fools!

I don't remember any prank I've ever played on anyone else. I think I did one time to my husband, but it must not have been very good, cause I don't even remember it, and I've never had one done to me. But, this blog hop has been great, I loved seeing all the beauty from these talented designers, and of course I always love what ODBD puts out. Thanks for the chance to win.

This is my 1st time participating in a hop. It was easy to leave comments on everybody's blog as all creations were done so well.
April Fool's Joke: I am a R.N. and this night shift we created a ficticous patient which we told the day staff about in morning report.
Thanks DT for sharing your creations and to ODBD for the chance to win some of your great products.

Well, I know I'm too late here, I didn't start the hop till 8pm AK time which would be midnight EST. Worked all day and power was out last night but it didn't stop me from hopping to each and enjoying the new stamps being showcased!! Last year at work I got a call from one of my coworkers saying I had a message, to call back a number and ask for Mr Lyons, that it was urgent. I was suspicious but not because it was April 1. I called the number and it was the ZOO!!! They (at the zoo) were good sports, laughed, told me April Fool! They had lots of calls that day for Mr Lion. : )
