I have always loved Isaiah 9:6 in the KJV for Christmas cards, and the beautiful description of Jesus.

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

I really enjoyed the blog hop. Everyone did a fabulous job! I had some problems posting some comments, but finally was able to post on everyone's but Fran's. I like all the stamps in the new release but think the Christmas Tree Collage is my favorite. Of course, having the other stamps in the bread basket to round it out would be the icing on the cake!!!

I loved ALL these beautiful examples. Love the trees in the designs, especially the Joy Tree. I always use sentiments that keep Christ in Christmas.
Could not comment on Francie's Fancy because I don't have any of the profiles listed. (I tried.)

I had to drive my daughter to work and couldn't wait to get home, pour some coffee and get to my computer to view all the blogs for the new release, and I wasn't disappointed - some outstanding creations with some fabulous new designs.

During Christmas I will ALWAYS look for sentiments that keep the focus on the Christ child and the reason for the season!

Well I tell you the designers did amazing creations with the new releases makes you want them all for sure!! Love them all but the joy tree is so perfect for Christmas however the door with any of the scriptures is very lovely also ;)

I was unable to leave a comment on Fran's blog due to the accounts. I am not sure if my comment went through on Lorellies blog.
All the blogs were fantastic as usual ,they are a group of very talented ladies! I really like nativity scenes on cards as that focuses on the true meaning of Christmas.

Bridget said...

I loved the beautiful creations your designers came up with on every single stop of your blog hop and these wonderful new stamp sets! I'd love to see a set with a more complete version of Isaiah 9:6(I know you have part of the verse in one)with the wonderful description of Christ in full!
I love that you have 2 Corinthians 9:15, I can imagine that paired with a some lovely presents in a pile, to contrast the eternal gift of Jesus with the temporary beauty of holiday gifts. (Another verse which I love along these lines and can imagine on a card is James 1:17!) Another stamp I've imagined is the shadow of the cross behind the manger scene, to highlight the reason He came. Okay, you'll be sorry you asked me, I'd better stop!

i have been to every site, i had a few problems with a couple not wanting to take my google site, and not wanting to take my name either. i think it was Lorelie and Francie, but maybe one more. it is possible they will show up later and not immediate. i loved all the stamps. i loved the Joy to the world in a Christmas Tree and he spellbinder dies set of the ornaments. i had seen them in the stores, but i am loving seeing them made up. I love all of these cards. My verse i would love to see is John 14:16-17 ESV

WOW!!! loved this blog hop. i was so inspired by all of the dt's creations. they are all so talented.

i'm not sure what you have used for Christmas in the past but i love angels and the nativity, "angels we have heard on high", etc.

Phyllis S said...

Jer 17:7 "Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD." I would also love a simply elegant manger scene and a larger scene with the stable and camels and a star. The larger scene could be the background and then a closer one in an oval of the Holy family. I could actually be one stamp I suppose and the oval could be stamped a second time and raised. I'm not sure my reply on Fancy Fran (?) worked - I don't have a blog or google account or anything.

Thank you so much for hosting this blog hop - I've got a ton of ideas for Christmas now!

Thank you for a great hop. Lots of talent in ODBD teams! Great ideas and use of medias. I would love to see a stamp for Christmas from John 1:14 (NIV, 1984) "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." Probably too long for a stamp, but I love it anyway. Have a great weekend!

I just finished the blog hop, but was not able to leave comments on the following: Dawn, Lorelie, Chris, Sabrina, or Fran. I would like to see nativity scenes and more music sheets. All these designers have done you proud. I am happy I don't have to pick a favorite designer because this would be an impossible challenge.

Wow, lots of talent throughout the wonderful hop and all of your newly released images looked beautiful and elegant. Thanks for sharing. A manger scene and verse:

Other than that, this was a fun way to spend some time getting creative juices going.

Cathymac said...

Every stop along this hop was filled with stunning inspiration! These Christmas images are some of the most beautiful images anywhere! As far as new ideas...a nativity scene, either a silhouette or an outline image; or an angel announcing the birth of Christ to shepherds watching their flock.

Robyn said...

It has already been said! What a fabulous hop! The inspiration is endless. On a few of the blogs, the Lord spoke to my heart about things going on in my world. What a great thing to be inspired by the work of wonderful designers. I already love all the images available at ODBD. One design I have not seen in the stamp world is one I found for a decoration many years ago. It is of Santa kneeling at the manger. The image delivers the TRUTH into what the world so readily accepts.

Everyone did a fantastic job on the hop!!Sure wish I had enough money to get them all, lol!!

I love the Word - and scripture verses that are laid out as works of art - as the new tree verse stamp is - love to see more stamps like that - where the verse is the focal point.
My favorite verse that I would like to see as a stamp set?
This is my beloved and this is my friend (song of Solomon). Not necessarily a Christmas sentiment , but perhaps paired with the Jesus stamp... Lovely for weddings, etc.

What a blessing it was to go through all the blogs on the blog hop! Thanks to everyone for all their hard work. I am so inspired by all your creations. I love the new releases. As for what I'd like to see: I love anything that keeps Christ in Christmas. I had a friend that had me make her Christmas cards this year and she chose Christmas song verses but not the first or second verse, it was more of the third and fourth verses. The verses were really wonderful and made her cards extra special. Thanks again for the hop.

What a wonderful hop. I had trouble posting on three sites due to Blogger acting up. I was unable to post the on the following:
Lorelie Kim's site: Love your Christmas rose and those beautiful swirls of pearls!
Chris Olsen's site: Such a beautiful Christmas tree. The songsheet collage just adds to the magic. Well done on both cards and that wonderful gift box.
Francie G's site: Wow -- that Christmas tree set off with those cream roses is stunning!

I love stars, anything that reminds me of an old-fashioned Christmas (i.e. old toys, sleighs, etc.) and verses that are versatile.

Anyway, I would love to see a stamp with Luke 2:9-12. It is kind of long but would be perfect for Christmas cards. Although Joy Tree is pretty fabulous. But I want the whole bundle - every one of these new stamps speaks to me! Thanks so much for this amazing hop!

Your DT are truly gifted by God. I would go to a blog I think that would be my design for this year and then there was the next design. They are all so inspiring! I couldn't say I have a favorite set. All of them are gorgeous. I like to keep the focus on Jesus for Christmas. For some people on my mailing list it's the only time I can share the Good News with them. I would like to see a cross image with the manger scene. Thank you for your ministry, at lease that's how I see it, I love your designs.

I could not leave a message on Fran's blog. I do not have an account.

A wonderful hop! Thank you! I would love a lamp post image. And I think any sentiment with 'love' as part of it, just warms my heart.
"May you have the gladness of Christmas which is hope;
The spirit of Christmas which is peace;
The heart of Christmas which is love." (Ada V. Hendricks)

Beautiful Hop! Very excited about doing some shopping. I really don't have much to add to the comments of others re images they like for Christmas; I too tend to keep mine religious in nature, I do like Angels and merrymstamper's comment about Mary's acceptance -- I think that is SO important and means so much to me! Cute story you probably don't have time for, but.... Once at a talk after Mass the priest asked what were Mary's most famous words, nobody volunteered (of course) so he called on me and I immediately shared this quote, :May it be done unto me according to your Word." Well, the poor guy was flumoxed because he WANTED me to recite the Magnificat, when Mary visited Elizabeth, but I've always thought this initial trust and acceptance of God's will means more to me.

Oh my, this was a great hop with an incredible release! I love it! I truly cannot think of anything to wish for - my wish comes true with all the religious images and verses - ODBD is the place to get the best. I have always like the Saint Nicholas image - not santa claus. Just a thought. Great hop - want them all!

This was a wonderful hop! Thank you so much for the inspiration and creativity. I love the Christmas Collage and of course the ornaments. As for my wish list...one of the sayings that I love is "This is the day the Lord hath made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it."
I also love snowmen at Christmas.
Thank you.

This was my first time blog hopping. What a fun experience. All of the designers are AMAZINGLY talented and created such BEAUTIFUL work. I'm a beginner at designing cards and aspire to be as talented as these designers one day. :) I did post on everyone's blog however, Dina's needs to be approved by her before it shows up. My posts will either show up as scrap-n-happy or Heather. As far as the question on ODBD, I would love to see some nativity / manger stamps with Luke 2:10-11 as the Bible verse.

Great inspiration on this hop! I'm looking forward to starting on Christmas cards soon. I think the stamps I use most on Christmas cards would be background stamps, snowflakes, and basic greetings like Merry Christmas, Season's Greetings, Joy, Happy Holidays... etc. I'd love to see some birds worked into holiday stamps.

This hop has been one of your best EVER! You've given me so much inspiration, I'm anxious to get going on my Christmas cards now. What would I like to see more of? Definitely a nativity scene. Perhaps a very tender picture of Mary with her precious baby, and Joseph off to the side. I can picture it now.

tateroI too like Nativity scenes.
I tried to post on all sites but couldn't on Frans & I'm not sure if it went in on some others.
All the ladies did a spectacular job.
Beautiful stamps & such inspirational renditions by the ladies.

I so enjoyed the hop.....you have such talented designers and such wonderful stamps! I can't think of a verse to recommend, but I would like to applaud the " word tree" as my favorite. I can see so many uses for it!

Thanks again for the great hop. As a beginning stamper, I get lots of ideas from your examples. Bless you for sharing light and truth!

Loved all the cards by the DT. Anything Dina designs is awesome; I am especially fond of collage stamps. Any stamp with the true Christmas message is a keeper.
I left a comment on all the blogs except for Fran and Lorelie. I made a few attempts on both but they did not connect.

Great hop. I really enjoyed seeing all of the inspiration. I generally tend to like any vintage type images - and any verses about Christ are what Christmas is all about!

I really enjoyed this blog hop. I especially enjoyed all the Christmas designs. Christmas is my favorite time of the year and I am inspired to create some of the cards you showcased here. I was able to post a comment on each site. The only one I didn't see my comment on was Dina's, but I know she said she's on the other side of the world and probably sleeping.

The image I would love to see created is the image of the infant birth - the scene at the manger, with the phrase: "For unto us, a child is born, unto us a son is given..."
