What an awesome hop! The new stamps are amazing and your team has certainly done them justice! Thanks to everyone!!!
One of my favorite "simple" things is helping someone put their groceries in the car or just a little chat. Sometimes just a few moments of your time can really brighten up a day!

I know I say it every month...but how do you gals just keep getting better and better! What a blessing each of you are!

My favorite simple thing is making cards for the elderly lady that my mom used to care for before she passed away. Sally is 95 and has family all over the world that she writes to. Every chance I get I send up a new batch for her to use. She is always so tickled when her package arrives and spends the next hour on the phone telling me (in her VERY broken English) that she loves each and every one of them. I'm also tickled when I get one back from her!

What a great hop! God has blessed each of you with the gift to create beauty!!
One of my simple things is to put God's Word on cards and pass them out as I feel God's leading!! Be Blessed!

Becky said...

Fabulous blog hop. All the cards are just stunning, dont know how you gals come up with such wonderful ideas.

My favorite simple thing for me is making and giving cards with scripture, it encourages those who receives them and My mother loves getting them and sets them all in the hall table :).

What a fabulous hop. Love all the great inspiration and I have seem to missed the last few ODBD blog hops. I love them!!!
A simple thing that I do it when I am out in public, I always have a smile and a hello for a stranger. I love to see the way people smile and "perk up" when they are acknowledged.
Merry Christmas everyone!!

This was my first blog hop! How fun!! Do you do this every month? I'll have to be sure to check back often! :-)

There are so many simple things I'm thankful. I'm thankful for the chance to create cards to give to others. I enjoy creating specific cards for specific people and situations. I love seeing the joy a homemade card gives!

Teri said...

I finished the hop and left comments on each thread. The answer to your question: helping my kids and grandkids out any way I can. SOmething someone has done for me that helped tremendously is just sit and listen to me when I need help.

I finished the hop, lovely creations by all!!
I would have to say making cards for people is one way I have found to brighten someones day, I have been told many times how my card arrived in the mail just at the right time, I think it is one of the best crafts there is to bring happiness to someones day!
Always smile, when someone sees you smile at them it just makes them have to smile too :)

ladies, every blog is so sensational!

your inspirations are so brilliant and awesome!

my favourite simple thing is to craft a card for a person and telling her god loves her, when i give it to her or him...
no matter, if they are believers yet or not, it sometimes touches the heart even of the toughest guys... ;-)
ladies, we never know, how precious a card can be for a person...only god knows that this special person might have needed some love, and our cards can be a "love you"-sign from our wonderful lord...

hugs and kisses from germany,

What an amazing hop ! You can't help but have a wonderful day after seeing all of these awesome designs.
To answer the questions....I think one of the things that I do for others that gives me the most pleasure is cooking for them. I love to cook....it's another of my creative outlets. It's a very basic need but it makes people happy and fills the kitchen with such wonderful aromas. Especially Christmas baking with my grandkids.
Thanks for all the time and effort that went into this hop !
Blessings to all.

I finished the hop and was able to post a comment on everyone's blog. Thanks you ladies for such beautiful offerings.

Little things do mean a lot. Often it may be making a meal for someone, giving a special little "thinking of you" gift, but mostly, I think it is being there to listen, and give support with prayer, and just to love.

What a fabulous hop - seems like the Breadsticks raise the bar and get better every month!!

I love sharing cardmaking with an 84 year old friend - the visit is what I think she cherishes the most, but if you could only see her eyes sparkle when I teach her how to do something new.....! Its only a little thing, but it makes my heart SING!

Natalie said...

Beautiful job by the design team!! I guess the simple thing that I do for others that I really enjoy is making homemade bread and giving it away while it is still warm! It always brings a smile.

I did it! I hopped to each blog and left encouraging comments for each design team member. They are such an encouragement to us as they share their talent. I like to make gift projects to share with the families at the Ronald McDonald house. The staff uses the gifts for their Christmas party they put on each year. It makes me feel like I have done a little thing that might brighten their stay a little as they go through a tough time in their life. Thank you ODBD for all you do and for giving us a chance to win your products. Blessings

Fabulous blog hop. All the cards are just wonderful. Lovely release collection.

I love sending RAK postcards to addresses in the phonebook. No personal contact & get to cheer up someone who may need it.
The sweetest thing someone did for me was while recovering from cancer treatment, sent me a goodie bag full of random items to be opened on tougher days. I really enjoyed the little things that made each day a bit brighter. I have thanked her often but it still makes my day thinking of the sender.

I finished, Yay! :D Each and everyone has received a comment.

The little things I love to do for people we find ourselves interacting with when we are out and about such as delivery people, waitresses, store clerks, or really anyone who helps me out in any small way is to let them know how special they are for doing so. Not everyone does their job with grace much less joy and when I see someone who is, I make sure I let them know I noticed and that we need more of that behavior in the world! I think I embarace my poor hubs often when I say to another man who has just held a door open for me, "I am so glad to see that chivalry is not dead... and remember, women really do like having doors held open for them!" I probably embarace them too but well, it's true, and poor men are so confused in their roles today... Anyway, imagine if everyone, once a day did something like that...pay it forward, how fabulous things could be?!

Beth said...

Gasp! there needs to be spell check on comments! lol

Thank you for putting together such a great blog hop...these ladies have really rocked it! One of my favorite simple things...is watching my 16 year old son stop to help someone load their groceries or hold the door extra long for someone that needs help. He is truly my inspiration! Hugs, Teresa E.

J.Beare said...

This was just such an inspirational hop! Thanks for all the time and heart you ladies put into this! I love it all!

I think my favorite this is to teach my children about service. From something as small as holding the door for someone, to raking our neighbors leaves, to doing a siblings chore because they have a lot of homework. That is so important to me , to raise children that are not selfish and and think of helping others.

This was my first bloghop and wow, I am blown away!! Such talent and versatility in so many clever women. The simple thing that I like to do is throwing seed out for our native birds and watching them enjoy it with gusto. This always makes me smile and give thanks for sharing their company with me. Cheers OzziLiz

What a wonderful hop and so many beautiful samples for us to drool over! I know which set is a must have!

One of the simple things that I love doing and we do monthly from our church is do a bingo night for a little community of seniors down the road from our church. They are so cute and love it so much! So much fun to see them so happy.

What beautiful cards and tags and layout! I did have a little problem getting to Dina's blog. Somehow I was in an infinite loop.

I love making a card for someone. People really appreciate what you have done. I also love sharing anything that I have learned along the way.

Thanks for making the scriptures available in stamps!

Shucks!! ANd I thought last months release was awesome:) WOWZERS!!! This release is so versatilie---the stitching background can be that or the 'tracks' of the buzzing bees---and so on---but the most UBER thing about this set is the infallible--powerful---alive WORD OF GOD!!! I LOVE how y'all used it to His glory!!!
As a family, we love to unexpectedly show up---in secret or not---to bless others with food for Thanksgiving or gifts for Christmas. But actually the simplest but most powerful thing that we get to do because of what our Lord did for us is.... we get to Love on others-- Thank you so very much for all you do and for what y'all do for the kingdom!!! be blessed beyond measure---Huge hugs!!

Another great release from ODBD and the lovely DT!!

There are so many simple things that can be done for others. It all starts with a smile and can include a home cooked meal for one of my Church's shut-ins or sending a card to someone who needs their spirits lifted!! I appreciate the little things and it makes my heart sing to know that I have smiled upon someone in the course of my day!

One of my favoite simple things in life is to dig into the dirt and make something grow, and to share and learn from others who do the same.

WOW!! I believe this was my first ODBD blog hop and it was wonderful and worth every minute - thanks ladies!! My husband's mom has dementia and has lived with us for almost three years and she cannot be left alone. This past Sunday some folks helped us out and we were able to go to the beach and spend time alone with our children for a few hours. It was a beautiful and precious gift from God! And I said to my husband a few years ago we would have not probably appreciated and enjoyed this gift as much as we did and still do! Thanks for your time and all that you do : )

stampencamper said...

such a wonderfully fun break in my day with the blog hop. thanks for the giveaway of 6 sets this month, to some lucky gals.
The nicest gift I received, was going for coffee with a gal and she said she was going to treat me today, and it wasn't any special occasion. Just because.
The last few years; I have tried to remember single or widowed people and send them a card; or take themn out for coffee. A highlight for their day.

JKB said...

What a fun hop! The written word is the simplest thing that people enjoy. I enjoy making cards for people. Lately I've been saving the bulletin from my church and mailing it to my folks and my Mom truly appreciates this simple thing since they don't get to church much any more.

Sherry Kushibab said...

Wonderful and fabulous hop, some absolutely outstanding pieces of work. I think unexpected (RAK)acts of kindness are the simplest and most appreciated acts...whether I am the doer or the receiver. I ask daily to have my eyes opened to what is around me and opportunities. One year I befriended a bell ringer and each day bought him dinner...what a blessing as I got to know him better, I was blessed by the experience.

Sandydee said...

What a great hop! All of the ideas were just amazing and so beautiful. I left comments on all of them. One of the simple things for me is something that I really consider more of a simple pleasure and that is helping my girlfriend scrapbook her family pictures. I also do special frames for her that she really appreciates.

ecclesp said...

First of all I want to thank you all for the delightful hopping you let me do through this blog today. Each project was very uplifting and special. I was not able to post to Gemiel's project even after a dozen tries but please tell her I enjoyed her scrapbook page. My husband shares so equally in the care and raising of our daughter, so for me it is the simple things he does as her father that I love. He drives her around to school and activities, takes her to her medical appointments and goes to every event she is in. The simple activities of everyday life make my life so wonderful.

Great hop.
In the winter my hubby and I like to shovel out the spots for our neighbors.

What a fun experience! I completed the hop and one of the simplest thing to do is to smile and say "Hello" to to all that you meet!

sandee said...

First off, all the projects on the hop were completely stunning!

As for what I do, I hope it makes a difference but I belong to 2 organizations that send cards out to people in need and to nursing homes. I'm happy when I think that maybe my little card might cheer someone up.

Brenda W said...

Well, I finished the hop. It seems each month the releases just get better and better.
I am so very thankful to each of the "Breadsticks" for sharing your talents. I have special thanks for Kelley who had a love for a craft and allowed God to direct her path. I am thankful for all the advice I've received from Kelley, Lorelie, Grace, Angie (to name a few). God did not fail me when I asked him to guide me to a website that made Christian based stamps. He did just that and from that point on, I've been blessed with a beautiful online relationship with so many of you.
This has been a wonderful experience for me. The very first hop I've completed. Not only has the experience been wonderful and rewarding, it has also been relaxing.
Thank you so much. Hugs 'N Blessings

Brenda W said...

Oh my, I hope I can get this added to my comment.
The simple thing for me is to be able to lift someone's spirit, to encourage their heart, to be able to see them smile from the inside out when they open a card made with ODBD stamps.
For me it doesn't take much. A kind word, a simple "thank you", a friendly cashier, good customer service, the love in the eyes of family and friends.

Barb said...

This was one of the best blog hops ever--I mean EVER!

The simple things I like to do is just to be pleasant--expecially this time of year. Be Patient and
Be Kind. Like today in the grocery store--I went through the self check--had four bags full. They came over to take my coupons and the machine froze up. I had to go to a regular line and check out again. No reason to get upset--just had to be done!

Wanda Cullen said...

So glad that it slowed down at work a bit, so I could use my break time to hop along! You ladies really rocked the new designs...BIG TIME! For me, a simple smile and a positive comment to someone goes a long way to make their day!

This was an awesome blog hop, I was able to post a message on everyone's blog. What a great bunch of talented ladies. Thanks for all your creativity.

One of my favorite simple things to do is to hold the door for the next person to walk through or to say "God bless you", when a person sneezes.

I just finished your Blog Hop and enjoyed everyone's beautiful creations. One of the simple things I enjoy is helping some new crafter what/or how to use all the different crafting tools out in the market.

I have visited each designer and left a comment on each.
One simple thing that I enjoy doing is for my mother. On my birthday, I try to honor my mother with flowers or a small gift to say thank you for my birth. It is nice to think about simple acts for others. Thanks,
Kim

What a great hop to show off the new designs! I was able to comment on each one. The simple thing that comes to mind at the moment (it's dinner time here :)) is making dinner for the hubby. He appreciates it and prefers homemade to eating out, esp. since he works out of town for long periods of time. But he also knows I like to take a break from cooking and he'll take me out as my treat now and then : )

Grace, beautiful hop, wonderful design team! Simple things - listening, a very simple smile. This morning the cashier at Au Bon Pain gave me a hug just for coming in she said, but I know it's because I wished her a Happy Eid at the end of Ramadan - a simple wish and a wonderful gift!

This is actually the first hop I have completed of any kind! I loved seeing what each designer came up with! These new sets and dies are amazing!

I love to befriend people who others seem to ignore or steer away from. I read a book by SARK on time and she recommended inviting someone dangerous to tea (she didn't mean literally dangerous but meant someone others don't give a chance). I am made some great friends doing this! Cards to people who never expect it are also a great thing to do for others. I haven't been able to drive for 4 months and I have had wonderful support from friends and family - I don't know what I would have done without them all. God is good!!!!!

Kristine said...

My daughter & I just had a great time enjoying all of your tremendous efforts. We appreciate it.
We left comments on each site.
As a working mom of 5 kids, simply saying hello and how are you to each other is a blessing. Paying attention is the best simple thing of all.

Great hop. I was able to leave a comment on everyone's site. I can't imagine how every month the sets seem to meet me where I am at. I know it is a God thing.
My favorite simple thing is my job. I am a physical therapist and when my patients get better to see the smile on their face. They return to their previous level of function is a blessing every time. I also like to do random acts of kindness where ever I happen to be at the time. Those are my simple things.
Thanks to all for the great creations and good ideas.

Another fabulous release and blog hop! I visited each blog and left my comments.

My simple thing--sending lots of cards! I have been overwhelmed at the difference that this small thing that I enjoy has made. We live in such a fast-paced, social media world that cards have disappeared as a means of communication!

I have been to every blog and left comments. Sometimes it is just a simple hug that means so much to me. No words have to be spoken. The hug says it all!

Wow! FAbulous blog hop, Breadsticks! I visited every blog and left comments. What great inspiration you gave me all along the way. I learned so much this time, how to make my own buttons, how to dye seam binding, how to make a corner book mark. there were so many great ideas, that I had to get a pencil and paper to write them all down. And the new ODBD items, fabulous. It reminds me that the simple things are the best, a note from a friend, a home made treat, and just watching the birds out your window. One of my favorite "simple" things is sending cards to family and friends. Never underestimate the power of a card, a kind word, a sweet gesture. Some times it is these simple things that can change a persons day, their attitude, their life! Thanks for all the inspiration that you bring me! It is truly appreciated! ~gin~

What a beautiful hop!!! Got through the whole thing with NO problem this time!! PTL!! My favorite thing to do is to encourage people in any way I can, and show mercy and grace to ones that have lost hope!! Anything to point them in the RIGHT direction, to the Lord!!!!

Beautiful hop! A simple gesture . . .perhaps not so simple, but I had a friend who made me my very own cheesecake and it was so special because I have celiac and hadn't had cheesecake literally in years. She researched the ingredients to use and surprised me; it still touches my heart. For others, I love to bake and I enjoy making the 'regular' gluten filled cookies and cakes for family and friends.

Becky Dunham said...

What an amazing hop! I absolutely love everything in this new release - of course I always do! And I love the simple things message - a reminder to us all!

I am a "helper" and like to help wherever I can. I prefer to work "behind the scenes", not in the spotlight. For me, a simple gesture like my husband bringing home dinner when I am up to my eyeballs in work and the school play that I help with every year is a pleasant treat. My son will be at the store for something and he will pick up Lindt Hazelnut chocolates for me as a treat now and then - the fact that he thought of me makes me as happy as the chocolate :) I do a lot for others without even thinking about it and expect nothing back, so whenever I get something back it is a treat.

Thanks for the chance to win some of this fabulous new release!

I finally made it around to everyone and left a comment on each webpage. The simple thing I like to do is make cards. I donate my cards to my church and they use them for fundraisers. I've helped send kids to retreats and on a Cuba mission trip. More recently I've helped raise money to get our church foyer more handicap accessible.

Hoping was nourishment for my soul today. So many talented breadsticks preparing a feast for the eyes each month. I am never disappointed!
Little things means so much. Prayer, cards, both so significant in a great big world. But the little 'unexpected' things pop so much punch into one another lives. A quick visit to the nursing home, A purchased cup of coffee for a stranger mid day when you had to stop for a pick me up. A hug from a little one, unprompted by another. The comforting softness of the hand of my son, as he rubs my shoulder when I am sad. It is as if it come from God himself, a touch of comfort. Well enough of a dissertation. I have been blessed. May the Lord cause His light to continue to shine in and through each of you in the next days.

A favorite simple thing is to always smile and say good morning or good afternoon as I meet people on the way to work. It is amazing how people will smile back at you and then smile at the next person they meet. It gives a real lift and soon gets passed on to others.

Thanks again to all the Breadsticks for the great hop.

What a fabulous hop! LOVED it! One of my favorite simple things is when someone just takes the time to listen. I like listening when someone just needs to talk and it is always nice when someone reciprocates!

Oh my word, you definitely have the most amazing design team in blogland. I gathered armfuls of inspiration doing that hop!! My favourite simple thing is having dinner on the table for my grown up family and seeing the relief on their faces when they know they don't have to start cooking after a hard days work:) That makes me feel special:)

Thanks so much for the wonderful, inspirational blog hop! My favorite simple thing is listening - particularly to someone in crisis as are most of the guests that visit a free store I coordinate. There is such need and they are so fearful. People so desperately need someone to really listen to them. Following that with prayer is often the most beneficial thing one can do for another.

Thanks for such an incredible hop! The projects are just amazing! What a talented group!
My favorite simple thing is just offering a friendly smile to a harried mother in the grocery store, or holding a door open for someone and just saying that simple hello that is not expected anymore. Sometimes just the simplest kindness from a total stranger can just turn your day around in such a positive way.

What a wonderful hop...every stop was inspiring...Thanks..."a Simple thing" I do is grant permission to my grandchildren to "work" in my stamp room and create paper art! Ages 5--12 enjoy the treat of using my supplies and making items for family and friends. Sometimes they work alone with out me and sometimes I "direct" a project or craft. It brings us all joy! Isn't that what stamping and paper art is to do???
Have a JOYFUL New Year!

What an inspiring and enjoyable "hop". Many beautiful creations and lots of inspiration.
I enjoy making cards for people for all occasions, "just because". I am really enjoying making them, and always am so happy to come online and find some fabulous ideas.

I am in total awe at all the beautiful. Creations I have seen. Awhile ago a friend gifted me with a special gift. I had been down for awhile and she did this out the blue for me. I am one who does for others but don't know how to receive. God is teaching me his love works both ways. I must learn to give but be willing to receive.
