Techniques, Tutorials, and Tips - The ODBD Card Gallery!
Happy Monday, everyone! It's time for another "How-To" post! As Our Daily Bread designs continues to grow and prosper, more and more ODBD cards and projects are being created and shared with others....praise be to the Lord!! The ODBD Card Gallery is a popular "hangout" for many crafters looking for inspiration and a little creative insight from both our designers and customers who have started their own galleries here. If you haven't yet started your own "ODBD Only" gallery, now is the time......the following instructions will help you along!
Once you have finished your ODBD card or project and edited your photo, head over to Our Daily Bread designs. On the left sidebar on the homepage, you will see a row of tabs....click on "Card Gallery".
If you do not have a gallery set up yet, you will first need to register. Once you have clicked on the gallery tab, you will see the following menu bar.....click "Register".
The first page you will come to is for age verification. Click on the correct category of over or under 13 years of age.
You will then see the Rules and Policies page. After reading this information, if you wish to continue, click "Agree".
Next, it's time to fill in your Username, password, etc. When completed, click "Submit Registration Form". That's it.....you now are registered and you may upload your projects to your very own ODBD Gallery....yay!!!
Once your gallery has been set up, I'm sure you're "chomping at the bit" to get your photos uploaded. Please follow the directions listed below for smooth gallery uploading:
When you are ready to upload, LogIn to your gallery, then click on the menu tab "Upload Photos".
The next photo shows three steps:
1. Choose the stamp category which matches your project. (If you have used multiple sets, you will have the option to add another before the upload is complete.)
2. Browse your computer and choose the photo you wish to upload.
3. Choose a title for your project.
**Please note: You will see a description box as well, but do not enter anything in for the description. Depending on your internet browser, some have encountered difficulty uploading when too much data has been entered on the first page.
If you would like to receive an email notification when someone posts a comment for your project, change the tab to yes. Click "Upload/Submit" for your photo to be processed and to reach the final steps of uploading.
(Screen shot below) After you have clicked on the "Upload/Submit" button, the next page will show you a thumbnail of your photo at the left. Under the "Optional Info" section, you may enter another stamp category, if applicable. Always choose "Member Galleries" as a category as well.....just another way to find your project if someone is searching for you!
Here is where you will fill in your description. Stampers everywhere want to know which products and techniques you have used, so please take a moment and type in some basics. If you wish to include a link to a challenge you've used or a direct link to your blog, there is no special coding needed....just included the entire url address within your sentence.....here is an example:
If I were to type in the following,
Thank you for visiting My Blog http://bodymindspiritandstamps.blogspot.com.
it would look like this after the upload was complete:
Thank you for visiting My Blog [link].
Also, don't forget to type in any Keywords, such as your username, stamp sets, challenge Keywords, techniques, etc. Anything that someone may type into the search feature belongs in the Keyword box.
***Please note: No commas in between Keywords.....one space only and any search will work perfectly!
When you have everything as you like it, click "Process". You should receive the message which says, "Your image was uploaded successfully." Yay! Congrats, you did it!!!!
If you have any questions or comments, (or if I have left anything out), please feel free to contact me at angelladcrockett at yahoo dot com. We can't wait to see your new uploads in your gallery!!
Also, if you haven't yet, come on over to the ODBD Forum and hang out with the Design Team and many ODBD Customers. If you haven't heard of the ODBD Forum, check out this introduction post. We can't wait to see you there!
Thanks for stopping by today! God bless!
