GOD ANSWERS PRAYER

I know not by what methods rare,
But this I know - God answers prayer,
I know not when He sends the word
That tells us fervent prayer is heard.
I know it cometh -- soon or late:
Therefore we need to pray and wait.
I know not if the blessing sought
Will come in just the way I thought.
I leave my prayers with Him alone,
Whose will is wiser than my own.

Lord let me capture the pure spirit of a loving child when I speak Your
name.
Let me pray as a child prays, asking little for myself, much for other souls
and for Your beautiful world.
Protect me, sleeping and waking, from evil.
Lead me by the hand to good works.
Let me praise You in simple words and in glorious silence through all the
days and the nights of my life.
Amen.

Matthew 25:35-36,

"...I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you took me in, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me."

I love this Scripture verse for a thank you card or for someone who is in service, particularly ministry.

Congratulations to all the winners! ODB is one awesome company to offer so much to us. The verse I pick is from Ps 20:6-8 Some trust in chariots, some trust in horses but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
This place of trust comes through many a trial of faith with the result in knowing God's strength and the joy of knowing we do love Him to go the way of faith.

This verse has always encouraged me. I think it would be lovely on a get well or sympathy card, or on an encouragement card for anyone who is struggling:

"In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
(John 16:33b NIV)

Congratulations to the winners for this year. I treasure the set I won last year and used it to send cards to my son who was in AF Basic and having a tremendously hard time. The verse I want to submit for this contest is one I sent to my son, Psalm 34:8 to remind him where to find strength.

I would love to have this scripture to use on sympathy cards: Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Psalm 116:15

I've looked a lot of places and have not been able to find it. I find it to be very comforting to those who are left behind.

Thanks for considering.

Congratulations to the winners! What lucky ducks you are!

As for a verse... I don't have every set of scripture verses, I do love the Psalms and Proverbs, but my mom recently died and on the back of her Mass program we had John 11:25. Funny (or sad) note -- we wanted it translated into French and Spanish since my mom has French and Honduran grandchildren. The Spanish was easy enough, but my French sister-in-law has never read the bible (so obviously neither have my nieces and nephew because I know my brother). I had to tell her John 11:25 was in the Bible, in the New Testament, fourth book in fact, that the 11 referred to the chapter (she actually argued with me about that) and the 25 referred to the verse. I made sure she read it to me before translating just to be sure she'd found the right thing! Oy!

I know a LOT of people who love angels. This quote would not only be loved by them, but great for anyone needing encouragement.
Here is my suggested quote for a stamp:

"Believers, look up- take courage. The angels are nearer than you think."- Billy Graham

You have your beautiful angel stamp, which is nice to use for reasons other than just Christmas. I'd also love to see you make another angel set, with many images!

Thank you for running such a great contest! It will be very exciting to see what is sure to be another wonderful ODBD stamp set!

I was very excited to see that the scripture verse I had been looking for for a very long time was included in your recent release.

Because of this, I am submitting a "quote" for the Customer Favorites Contest. I have found comfort in this quote when I've faced difficulties:

"Sometimes the Lord calms the storm and sometimes the Lord lets the storm rage and calms His child." author unknown

When we have a close relationship with the Lord, He will give us the strength and peace needed to face each challenge that comes along.

I thank God for the privilege to freely worship Him here in the U.S. Having served on the mission field, I know that this is not afforded to all of our brothers/sisters around the world. And, I thank God for ODBD, a company that allows us to use Scripture to encourage and uplift others, and spread the Gospel.
My contribution is the quote ...
"This too shall pass."
In these trying times, it's a comfort to know that the things we go through are temporary and we will get through them - with the Lord beside us.

My suggestion for a stamp would be:

This would be most appropriate for a get well card, or a card that sends encouragement.

A verse that I have claimed for my life is Job 23:10 But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. I've submitted this scripture before, but thought I'd give it a try again! I FIRST saw this scripture written this way at a Teen Challenge Graduation Banquet when I was a teen. It was on their program. When I got older, my mother found it on a plaque. With the EXACT photo & scripture that was on the program from Teen Challenge. It is my favorite scripture! "Oh, how happy is the woman who believes in God, for his promises to her come true." Mt. 1:45 This scripture has blessed me throughout my life; throughout all the trials & good times a life has to offer!
