Another great hop and all the submissions were great. All of my pets hold a special place in my heart, but especially my little dog Jake who just died this last October-these stamps are so appropriate in those circumstances.

All my life I have loved cats. When I married my DH didn't have the same affection so we never got one. WEll, my grandson moved in with us along with a lot of seriousness going on in his life so looking at him one day I told DH we just had to get a pet for him. DH agreed to the kitty. We hot footed it to the animal rescue league nearest us and purchased our adorable little Snickers. Though this is the "top" of the story, thing of it is is that I had prayed and prayed and thought I would never snuggle with my own little furry critter. Grandson has moved out but the little furball is still with me and clings to my every step. I know in my heart this was a gift from the Lord coming in His perfect timing. I waited 45 years for a cat of my own.

What a beautiful hop. My favorite is the Prayer of St. Francis. I love that prayer and the song as well. My favorite pet of all time is my current Lucy. Lucy is a three year old puppy and my constant companion. She is very much a momma's girl and we could not be any closer. Don't tell, but she is my favorite daughter! My girls who are grown with families of their own, don't love me unconditionally like Lucy does LOL

Just finished the hop...I just love this new set for animals, they are awesome.
I had a miniature Yorkie terrier. She was the most precious little thing, she died when she turned one and I have never gotten another dog since, just to think of her makes me cry, her name was "Pudding" that was 20 years ago.

Wonderful cards and layouts!! In answer to the question... no... never had a favorite... I loved all of my pets. They were there as my loyal friends in good and bad times.. and the hardest part was losing them!

Just finished the hop, amazing creations and I love these sets. I lost my tiny toy poodle a couple of years ago and I still miss her every day. She was a sweetie and every business in town adored her, she even knew where to go in the bank to get treats!! She loved to travel and always behaved so well she didn't even need a leash. She had the whole town trained to spoil her.

Great hop. I have a cat that was born with no foot on the back right let and part of a foot on the back left leg. He stays inside and does everything a cat can do. He loves to sit in the window and watch birds.

ok, i hopped along and it was quite a long hop on these old bunny legs, no, just kidding it is the 1st of april ya know. i ran accross alot of errors today. i was able to come back and get to everyone. i think it's the little fools playing havoc today. my favorite pet, that's like having a favorite child. they are all favorites in one way or another. i am a dog person so my favorite is of course a dog. thank you by the way for giving the dogs there due. it is so hard to find dog sympathy sets. many of my friends have lost pets and i think these sets are filling a void in the market. pet owners feel loss too. now onto my favorites. well in the vast numbers of dogs i've had one sticks out the most. her name is ruffles. we went to the mall to get a bow as in archery and came home with her. she was 6 weeks old when we got her and she was soo cute and furry. she was so petite as a pup she would cry if we went upstairs and didn't bring her. so we figured ruffles was a frilly and cute name that fit her. well you know sometimes things are different with dogs as they grow. that petite pup grew into an 80 lb dog. did i mention she was a german shepherd husky mix! what was i thinking. she had different fazes of ruffles, first the petite then the potato chip then the ruffs, which was the ROUGH HOUSE stage. then as she matured the life is rough stage. she lived to be 13 and would sit in the sun for hours or in the deep of the summer she would eat the rotted peaches that had fallen to the ground for a good afternoon nap. she had a younger basset houmd friend that would dig up carrots for her and put them on the deck so she could enjoy them, when she got too old to pick them herself. she prepared us for all the phased of life, as she enjoyed each. the kids grew up and both thought of her as the model dog. who knows how many secrets she heard from us or them. she even kept the home remodeler busy when he came. she kept a good eye on him to make sure he got things right. oh ... what a girl!

I loved the hop. Every pet we've ever had has in some way been a favorite, and I've always said that when we lose one, I expect friends to show up with plants and a casserole. So....I love the idea of pet sympathy stamps and cards.

Just finished the hop - stunning as always ladies! I had a little trouble getting my comment to go on Gemiel's page (I think it went the last time).

I have had lots of pets over my lifetime, but my favorite is my dear old Hunter Blue. He's a Goldador (half black lab and half golden retriever) and he is my baby. I've had him since he was 8 weeks old and he is now almost 14 which is very old for his breed. He has always "watched out" for me and is so aware of my emotions that if I even start to get upset or sad he's right there trying to comfort me. He's getting to the age where we are going to have to start thinking about losing him and while that makes me sad, he's been such a good dog I can't help but be grateful that the Lord brought him into my life.

This is an awesome hop. Thanks to the team for designing such inspirational and beautiful works of art. I have had many pets over the years, and each one is special. My current dog, Pip, is a pip. He is a mini-pin, full of life and affection, plus he is so cute. This stamp set is over the top this month. It is SO fitting and although I don't see all the stamps in the marketplace, these are so different, so appropriate, and so beautiful. Not to mention, when you stamp with ODBD stamps, the quality is so good. I will be buying this set this month. Thanks to all and blessing.

Awesome creations on this hop!Such wonderful sets to give tribute to pets~ I've had many pets in my lifetime and each was special. My bassett hound Ears was one that I miss the most. We got him as a little pup about the time got our daughter and as babies they would curl up and nap together every day he was a faithful fellow with a million funny stories that would fill a book!!

What a wonderful blog hop! I just finished posting on each designers blog. All of which have outdone themselves with their amazing creations. :)

Yes I did have a "favorite" pet. He was a kitten given to me by one of my high school teachers. I loved and nurtured that kitten and watched him grow. He was for sure my furry soul mate and guardian angel sent from above. Wherever I was at home our out in the neighborhood, so was my cat always keeping a watchful eye & ensuring that I knew he loved me. I was crushed when he passed away. And even after all these years, I've never forgotten him. The cat sympathy set has the perfect image & heartfelt sentiments. <3

Sonia said...

I forgot to answer the question. We have had many pets throughout the years, so many stories. One of my favorite stories involves one of our cats, Koala Bear, so named because when my aunt first saw him as a kitten, that's what he reminded her of. He was a good sized cat, but his fur was so long and full it made him look twice the size. One day a friend came over and said, "I started up the stairs and then I saw a lion!" He definitely was lion-hearted!

Every time I go through one of your hops, I am in awe of all the talent of these women. They all have a special gift and I am grateful they all share their work in this way. I have had pets, from birds to dogs and cats and my special friend was a skunk. He was such a pleasure to have around. Skunks make very good friends, (once he was descented that is)lol.

My first hop and what a great bounce! :) Such wonderful ideas and beautiful cards and scrapbook pages! It's so nice to see such wonderful talent. I lost my precious baby girl (cat) 2 years ago and it just killed me. I've since then got another cat, but she's just not the same, but I love her to pieces too. Also my co worker lost her dog on Friday and cried to me knowing I'd understand her loss. It's such a terrible thing when we lose our best friends. This hop was such a nice way to go down memory lane, to know there are beautiful sentiments and stamps to reflect such moments in our lives and inspiration. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

I went through all the stops with all 3 of my dogs either in my lap or at my feet the whole time so I shouldn't have to say how important my furbabies are to me. This hop sure brought back some sweet memories & a little heartache for some very loved pets that I was blessed with. Beautiful projects, thanks ladies.

This was such a fun blog hop and so inspiring to see such beautiful work. For some reason I could not leave a comment on both Sabrina's and Silke's pages. Both their cards were so lovely too.
When I was young I had the most wonderful dog which was a dachshund and her name was Dina. I have had many animals since her but she was my first love and I will never forget her faithfulness.
Thank you to all that shared these beautiful things with us.

What a fun hop with the new sets! Very nice artwork. I was able to comment on all. My favorite pet is dog. I've had a few and I couldn't just pick one as "the" favorite. Each is/was unique and touched my life in different ways, during different stages of life. Tho I could say the one alive and with me today is my current fave :)

I could tell you stories of my pets growing up, BUT my FAVORITE pet is "Cherokee," our dog of 14 years, while married. We got her when she was a puppy. Our son named her after a girl, who was nice to him in his first grade class! Cherokee the dog, was a full breed Australian Shepherd & a gift from my sister. Cherokee was timid & sweet! One day I was cooking, the kids were in school, so it was just Cherokee & myself. I laid a chunk of butter on the corner of the stove, in the wrapper. When I turned around it was gone. I looked & looked & couldn't figure out what I'd done with that butter! The dog was no where to be seen... I went about what I was doing. Later, when I was cleaning, I found the butter wrapper! THEN, I KNEW I wasn't loosing it!!!!!!! :) AND I knew EXACTLY where that butter went! Cherokee passed away just before Christmas. She lived a LONG & GOOD life! She was a protector when she was needed & in return we protected her! Australian Shephards are spooked easily. As we were moving--loading up the truck, she went to barking... I looked out the front door to the road, there was our son at the road side!He had wandered out! She KNEW he wasn't to be out there! For our trip in moving, she sat right between my husband & our daughter (4 hr. drive) playing barbie all the way with our daughter! She was a BEAUTIFUL DOG to look at & her name fit her PERFECTLY with the markings she had & she was a BEAUTIFUL dog in spirit too! Even when we took in a little stray dog & a stray kitten. She was loving & tolerent of them all! I know the Word says animals don't have a soul, but just MAYBE Cherokee will be in heaven when we get there, just because we hope so! After-all, the Bible says there WILL BE animals... :)And the Lord sees the desires of our hearts & our childrens. The Lord is GOOD in that way!!!!!!!! :)

I was raised with one primary animal---a dauchsund. His name was waffles. :) Then upon getting married---we had a pointer---his name was Pete---he caught a burglar next door---in the middle of the night---he was a joy. We had a new pup that was part lab---he drank fix a flat off of the driveway---it shut down his liver and kidneys---the doc didn't think he'd live---but we would pray and worship -----and one day upon arriving home from church---he was totally , completely and miraculously healed!!
We had a cute longhorn steer---his name was northStar---he had blond curly hair/fur on top and blue eyes. He was uber big and you had to be so careful when you pet him. He'd move his head because it felt so good to be scratched at the base of his horns---but they were really long and pointed---his nickname became houdini---as he could get out of a fastened trailer---go figure:) Since then---we've had the pleasure of having other pets---we have two labs and two kitties right now---they are a gift to our family.
One of the labs--Ellie---means light----her hips were crushed in 3 places due to a truck accidentally running over her. The doc wanted us to put her down---we prayed about it and felt that we were not supposed to do so. The vet said it would be 5,000 to send her away to have surgery and we asked him to do the surgery even though he hadn't any experience. (much less in cost, too) He had told us that she'd never be able to run, jump, fetch, or hunt again---and I told him that he didn't know the God that we serve.----Since---sure if she over does it---she can be quite sore the next day or two---but she is a walking barking miracle---she can do all the above: be blessed

What a wonderful hop! Loved seeing the versatility of the all stamp sets. Definately on my "must have" list. DH and I have had cats all of our 45 years together. and a couple of dogs too! Our first cat, Mitzie was a 6 toed Calico, and because she brought such joy to our life...we have never been able to be without a cat for very long.

I made it through the entire blog hop for the first time without a glitch. Yeah!!!
It took me two trips due to the arrival of company but it was definitely worth coming back the second time to finish. I would have missed some beautiful things. My favorite pet is Mischief my tortoise shell cat. She makes me laugh and is my companion at the stamp table.

Lovely cards etc to be inspired by. I am a cat lover and always have been. I have always had at least one and usually two cats. I guess my favorite, if I had to choose, would be our 17 year-old Zack, a beautiful black cat that lost his tail in an accident. He was so sweet. You could always just pick him up and love him and he loved you back. I miss him!!! We have a new one, Yogi Berra, who is an orange ball of mischief. But Zack was special. Thanks for the great kitty stamps!

I grew up with Shelties, and when I got married I took one of the Shelties with me, as she was really my dog. Then when she passed, I was remarried at that time, and my parents gave me a Sheltie for my BD one year. His name was King. He was a beautiful dog, inside and out. He loved my husband dearly. I happened to be at them mall one day, and made the mistake of looking in a pet shop window. I looked into the eyes of a beautiful Silkey Terrier puppy. Well, he came home to join our family; his name was Max. He was my baby for 16 years, and his best friend was King. King passed at age 12, and Max went directly under a bed, and stayed for long periods of time for the next couple of years. Then we finally decided that we had to get another dog so that Max would not spend his days under the bed. We got a one year old female Silkey Terrier, and named her Zoe. Max was really angry with us for bringing her home, and would actually get on the couch, and turn his behind toward us to show us how angry he was with us. After about 2 weeks, he finally began to tollerate Zoe. Zoe loved Max, and was his shadow. After many years, Max had a stroke at home (he had been sick for several years), at age 16. We balled like babies for days, but one thing we did was to make sure Zoe had closure. We had seen on TV a program that when you have multiple dogs, and they are really attached to each other that it is important to give the grieving dog closure. We put Max on his favorite blanket, and it took Zoe about 6 hours to accept that he was gone. She would keep coming out to the livingroom to try to get us to go back to the bedroom with her where Max was and fix him. But, she finally accepted that he was gone. After so many years of being Max's shadow friend, she finally wanted love from us. She only lived about 2 years longer after Max died, and we were not going to get another dog because it was so hard on us each time we would loose one of our friends. But, I could not live without a dog in the house because I'd always had one. So, now we have an almost 2 yr. old Silkey Terrier named Buddy. He has been a handful for us since he is the only dog we have, and now know that when you have multiple dogs, especially an older one, they teach the younger one, and take over the playing and everything else dogs do together. But Buddy is our only dog, and he requires a lot of playing time, and is our companion. So, this has been a long story about our dogs, but I have to say that I still cry when thinking of Max. He had a number of surgeries, and when he had to have his knees fixed, I literally stayed up all night rocking him in my arms like a baby. The pain meds just did not help, and after a couple days, I took him to the vets, and she actually took him home with her for a night so I could get some sleep. I do miss him, but know that I will see him and all our other friends when Jesus comes back to take us home. I am so looking forward to seeing them all!

Wonderful hop. The designers did a lovely job of showing off these adorable new images and great sentiments. I have had pets all my life and loved them all, but when I was quite little we had a small Collie pup and at the same time ended up bottle feeding a lamb. They became best buds and followed each other everywhere. We adored them, accept when the lamb grew up and would butt us off our swings.

I commented on each of the beautiful blogs.

All of my pets have been special, but my Velvet was probably the closest to me. We chose each other when I went to the pound. When I walked through the door, she cried and cried to me. I went straight toward her and put my fingers in her cage, and she lapped them, and cried, and was so excited to see me. She was a lab-shepherd, and talked all the time.
It turned out she had epilepsy, so we were closer than normal, because she was so dependent on me. She had been an abused dog, but with all the love I gave her, she came to trust everyone very soon.
It broke my heart when she passed away at 12.

Just finished another awesome hop; everyone did a fab job of showcasing the new stamps. (I wasn't able to view Julie's blog.) My favorite dog was our English Springer Spaniel, Sally. She was a great family dog and also a wonderful hunting companion. She was with us for 11 years when we had to put her down almost 2 years ago--we still miss her. I would probably get another dog, but my husband said "unless I can guarantee that he will die before another dog, he can't go through losing one again". Thanks for the hop.

A fabulous hop filled with lovely inspiration. I don't have a favorite pet- both of my dogs are so precious. My younger doxie Duchess however loves to scrap with me - she is a true girl that love ribbon and bling and I have a few pictures of her jumping up and sitting on my lap to check out what I am working on as I scrap. She loves to help me choose out what to use- or even more what she is going to play with so I shouldn't use it.

I couldn't possibly pick one favourite pet... we've always had some, assorted rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, budgies, tropical fish. There was Barney, a rabbit who thought he was a human. He'd jump up and sit next to me on the settee and watch the TV. He'd also watch the TV even if it was switched off - his humans sat and watched this funny black box thing so that was what he was going to do too. I loved hearing his little footsteps approaching.
And then there is Billy the budgie who is sitting with me now. She is such a blessing and such good company as I am housebound and don't see many people, I always have my Bily Budge!

I have pics with her and her favorite toy, a stuffed rabbit. We should have placed it with her when we buried her but did not think about it at the time. We still have it. We put it up and will not let our other dogs have it. We buried her here on our farm and placed a stone with her name on it in memory of her. It was almost more than we could bear and about two weeks later I talked my husband into going to look at a new puppy, he did not want to at first but I kinda of insisted, there was such a void in our lives. This time we picked out a beautiful white lab. She wasn't yellow she was a most beautiful creamy white color. She is now 3 years old and the center or our lives. She goes almost every where with us, she is obcessed with treats, she gets only healthy treats though, can't say no to those big beautiful begging eyes!

My 2nd hop done and loved every minute of it. It has taken me ages again because I kept becoming stuck gapping at the entries.

Although the sets might seem sad they made me smile with happy memories of long lost pets. 1 cat and 3 dogs. A stray Persian grey fluffball that found us following horrendous abuse as a kitten and lived with us for 18 years. 15 years with 2 Border Collies, and an airhead Golden Cocker Spaniel for 10, a mad family I have to say but as your stamp quotes dogs love you more than themselves and pets do make families; now they are gone I can no longer have pets due to illhealth but today has been lovely, tripping down memory lane and the stamps are very reminiscent.

St Francis' Prayer is one of my favourites, what a lovely set this month.

All the contributors were great but some have had me dumbstruck with awe. As ever I see technique challenges and learn. You have a brilliant design team and offer such inspiration. The possibilities you offer are endless. Thank you all for the memories today and the hope for the future. I'm not a scrapbooker but I really liked the pages I saw today. I feel both humbled and blessed to be so fortunate to have found such a wonderful place to learn but even more so a place I am able to learn as a christian crafter and finally somewhere I can share my faith with family and friends through craft. Thank you

The members of the design team made some wonderful samples with the new stamp sets and really showcased how versatile these stamps are. I was able to leave a comment on all the blogs.

I had a beautiful ginger cat, Gizmo, who died of old age about 6 years ago. He was very affectionate and always sat at my feet while I crafted at my desk. Even now, I sometimes 'feel' him there keeping me warm.

I can see how I could get a lot of use out of these sets.

This was a wonderful Blog Hop! Beautiful stamps and beautiful creations ladies! My favorite pet was old "Tom" out black & white shorthaired farm cat when I was a little girl...Totally an outside cat, so he was a great one to lay in my lap & let me "pick fleas off him". I'd lay him on his back between my legs & pick through the white hair on his belly (great fun for a farm girl) He was very compliant, but when he was done, that was it! On one such occasion he pulled my little 6 year old body down the hill because I caught his tail as he took off & didn't think to let go till I got to the bottom! Still I loved that old cat!

God Bless your wonderful designers for such a great set of stamps. The sympathies make me remember when I lost my beloved baby named Bourbon. I got him when he was barely 8 weeks old and he and I were inseperateble until he passed away at the age of 18+. He was a border collie that was so full of life. He loved frisbee. He could jump sooo high to catch that thing but the only problem was once that part of game was over he thought it was a game to keep the frisbee away from you...mmmmm. He loved walks, curling up at the end of the bed and giving kisses. He has been gone for 16 years now but I feel blessed by his memories and realize that God puts all things in our lives for a purpose, even if your not sure why at the time.

My favorite pet was a little puppy named Brandy, she was so cute, but she died very young. I will always remember her and how happy she waswhenever she saw me.
