Product Review - Glimmer Mists and Framed Fonts Chips

We have terrific new products in the Our Daily Bread designs store and the Bread Basket designers have been having a ball playing with them!  One particular product that some of the girls who attended CHA in January fell in love with were Glimmer Mists by Tattered Angels.  Glimmer Mists add color AND sparkle to your project (whether they are used on paper, fabric or wood) with just a few pumps of a spray bottle - how cool is that?!  ODBD also offers beautiful Framed Fonts that are embossed 3-in-1 alpha chips that have an adhesive back. Put those two products together and you're bound to create some magic!

I'm sure you're asking yourselves, "Could it really be that easy?".  The answer is a resounding YES!  Here's how to conjure up some Glimmer magic:

Select you Glimmer Mist color(s):

Select a Framed Fonts Alpha Chips set:

For the example below the Starfish and Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mists and Regal Alpha Framed Fonts were used.

ALWAYS shake your Glimmer Mists before spraying.  I used the Starfish Glimmer as my first color and sprayed it liberally on my chip with a swiping motion:

You can coat your chip evenly with a brayer.  Let the color sit for a few seconds before blotting any excess off with a paper towel:

Spray on your Iridescent Gold Glimmer using the same swiping motion:

Look at all that Glimmer!

You can leave it as is and add it to your card or you can take it one step further and create an aged look by using a Tim Holtz Distress ink pad directly onto the chip:

Make sure to use a light-touch when swiping the ink pad on the chip.  You only want to highlight the embossed aspects:

Use your chip to highlight a word or to frame an image:

That's all there is to it!  We hope you give your cards and altered projects the magic treatment they deserve by picking up some Glimmer Mists and Framed Fonts today!
