Need a little something extra on your holiday cards? Try our new Circle of Life Embossing Stencils.....we carry four different designs. Whether you are old-fashioned and enjoy embossing with a stylus and light table, or you like the new embossing/die-cut machines....either way, these stencils are fun and easy to use. I prefer to combine the two methods....see my steps below.
To use the entire template image as a layer, I prefer to emboss it in my Wizard first, then fine tune the impressions with a stylus, especially when planning to stencil the paper with ink....you will get a much deeper impression with a stylus. The sandwich shown below is white mat, embossing mat, cardstock, stencil, white mat.
If you plan to combine images from different stencils, you need a light table and small stylus in order to emboss the items where you want them on your project.
Once your image is embossed, you may color it with ink, chalks, glitter, or any medium you wish. The images may be cut out, layered, the inside frames cut out with a craft knife, or many other creative possibilities.
I have made two simple wall hangings (or ornaments) below, which were painted with Smooch pearlized paints and sprayed with Glimmer Mist. You could also add gemstones, pearls, or any embellishment you like! The possibilities are endless!!
