Time with Connie

Hello everyone!  December is rushing by and I can't believe how close Christmas is now!

Anyway... it's Tuesday and that's the day we spend with one of our talented Design Team members!  Today we are visiting the talented and sweet Connie McCotter!  Enjoy!

Hi there!

When I first saw the snowflakes in the Peace and Joy set from ODBD, I immediately thougt of doing an Acetate card!

The white snowflakes are stamped all of the acetate with opaque white stazon ink.  I then stamped the sentiment, which is from the His Gift set, in black on whisper white paper.  The snowflake border was punched with Martha Stewart's snowflake border and corner punch.

Next, I used a bit of black satin ribbon across the top of the card, tied a bow, and then added a snowflake charm from Making Memories.  To finish off the card, I added some tiny clear rhinestones from Zva Creative in the center of each punched snowflake along the border!

Thanks so much for visiting today!  Have a wonderful day!!

Wow!!! Thanks so much Connie!  I love acetate cards and they are just perfect for these snowflakes from the Peace and Joy set!  What a beautiful card this is!!!

Please take a minute to leave Connie some love and then visit her Blog to see more of her talent and inspiration!!!

May God richly bless you all as we enter this most holy time of year!  May you be refreshed with the awe of God's love sent down to us in the form of a man, His only Son, Jesus ...to take upon Himself the sins we could never pay for ourselves!  The ramifications of this most incredible gift to each one of us who receive Him are indescribable!  Because of that gift we have joy and peace in the present, and hope for the future!  Thank you Lord!

See you next week!  God bless you all!

This is a wonderful card! So fresh. I've never made an acetate card before. Does anyone know if I could use scraps of laminating film? I work at a school and our laminator has a 'lead' of film before we start laminating items. I've been saving the scraps for *something*. LOL Thanks for the inspiration!

WOW, Connie, this is a stunning acetate card. The snowflakes are way cool and the way the punched out snowflakes frame the scripture is amazing. A truly elegant card. Hugs and blessings, Sabrina
