The big day has finally come!!! Today marks the Second Year Anniversary since Kelley first opened Our Daily Bread designs! In that time period, she has released 61 wonderful Christian Stamps sets, filled with Scripture stamps and beautiful images! Additionally she has released 9 single stamps that include words to prayers, the Amazing Grace Hymn, and the Pledge of Allegiance. Every month she does it again! Just when we think it can't get any better.... it does! Her attention to details, love of gorgeous fonts, and dedication to her "calling" to supply the stamping community with faith based stamps has brought her to where she is today, and God has richly blessed her endeavor! As one of her Design Team members, and one who totally loves both the quality of her stamps and the message they bring, I for one want to say... thank you Kelley for all you do, and I am so grateful to be a little part of this company! May God continue to bless you as you seek to bring honor to Him through your business!
Kelley's first set released was Light of the World. The beautiful Lighthouse in that first set became the Logo for Our Daily Bread designs, and the inspiration for our newly formed weekly Saturday Challenge, The Shining the Light Challenge. The Shining the Light Award was born as a way of thanking her loyal customers for using Our Daily Bread designs stamps with excellence when entering this challenge. Isn't that what all of us desire to do when we use Scriptures and Christian messages on our cards? We are shining the light for others to see! God's Word says in Matt 5: 14a "You are the light of the world..." and in vs.16 "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven." Parts of these verses are in that first set, and are the building blocks upon which Our Daily Bread designs was formed.
Today, Kelley operates an exciting and fun on line store, supplying most of the essentials and special touches for paper crafting of all sorts. Whether you love gorgeous Prima flowers, shiny metallic card stock, or shimmery Glimmer Mist.... Kelley carries it! If you are looking to make lasting memory books and keepsakes ... she carries a wonderful line of Bind it All products. From gorgeous designer papers to yummy May Arts ribbons and Spellbinder, Cuttlebug and Martha Stewart products... it's available at Our Daily Bread designs.
In January, 2010, Kelley became a Member Company on Splitcoast Stampers, and we now have our own forum there. Challenges, Prayer Requests, Chit Chat and ideas are shared there. One of the Very Special things we did there was to have a Favorite Scripture Contest. People were invited to share their favorite Scripture and 6 will be chosen to be in an upcoming set! Our hope is that those sets will be coming in April or May! The first one to submit a verse chosen will be given the set free prior to release, and will be invited to make the first sample with their Scripture for the ODBD Blog!
Yes, in two years, lots of exciting things have been happening at Our Daily Bread designs, and today we celebrate that in a big way!
Today, Kelley is releasing Four new and truly wonderful Special Edition sets! They are near and dear to our hearts, because each of us on the Design Team submitted one of our favorite verses that we would like to put on a card, and those Scripture Verses are two of the sets being released today. If that wasn't exciting enough... she also created two sets of gorgeous borders that fit the Scriptures! If you want that special touch to present your sentiments in... these frames are it!
Today's Blog Hop is special because it allows each of the Design Team members to make the first card with their own favorite Scripture! We hope you will truly enjoy the hop... and of course it wouldn't be a Blog Hop without prizes! Today, Kelley is going to give 3 Prizes of your choice of one of the new Anniversary sets! Below is the list of our Design Team and Challenge Team members who have all worked hard to create something wonderful and inspiring for this occasion. Here is what you have to do to qualify for the prizes:
- Hop from first to last, and collect the secret LETTER each designer will have.
- Leave a comment for the designer on their blog.
- Return here to the ODBD blog, leaving a comment to tell us that you visited all the blogs.
- Email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org, giving me the secret message the letters spell.
You have until 8:00 PM EST on Mar 18th to complete the hop and email me the message.
If you cannot get on one blog, simply write that designer's name down and go to the next one (you can follow the link from here). Usually if you have trouble, waiting a few minutes and trying again will resolve it, but if you can't get on, simply tell me that when you email me and if I know you tried, I will enter you in the drawing. This is meant to be fun and not stressful! To make it easier, you might want to open a gmail account... it's free and you never have to use it, but it tells blogger that you are a real person and not a spammer, and makes it easier to get on to blogs to leave comments, because some blogs, including this one cannot take anonymous commenters due to inappropriate spam. I'm sure you can understand, so I encourage you to open a gmail account (just google gmail account, or open google account) and follow the steps. Then you will be able to sign in using your google account ID, and it will all be much simpler!
Just one more piece of information.... All week since Sat. the 13th, we have been celebrating with daily challenges, blog candy and lots of fun. Many of our team members have offered up blog candy to help celebrate this special occasion. If you played along, be sure to check their previous posts to see if you won... and if you miss that... I will be posting ALL the week's winners, including this Blog Hop's Winner on Mar. 19th right here on the ODBD Blog! So be sure to check back then! There will be LOTS of winners!!!!
Speaking of WINNERS...we have one!
Congratulations to Chris Dickinson! You are the winner of yesterday's challenge (to use your all time favorite ODBD Set)! Please contact Kelley at http://email@example.com to give her your choice of free set, and enjoy your new stamps!
So now... have some fun, be inspired, and lets go to the hop!
One note for those who have trouble with blog hops:
Some of you have emailed me stating you can't find where to leave comments. At the bottom of most posts, or at the top in some cases, you will see a number followed by the word "comments" or reactions, or something similar. ie. 103 comments. If you click on that, a new window opens up with the comments and at the bottom of the list is a blank box. It will be labeled with "Post Comment". That is where you click, then type your comment. There is also all sorts of help available on the web if you simply google the question you need answered. Making comments is not a difficult thing and we hope you can find it more easily with experience. It is meant to be fun!
