Time With Connie

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday! I hope your summer is going wonderfully!!! Today, we are spending time with our talented and sweet Connie McCotter! She has a sneak peek for you that you are going to love! Here's Connie!

Hello, and thank you so much for visiting the ODBD blog today! I am so excited to share with you a sneak peek of July's Our Daily Bread Designs release! This wonderful verse is from the new set called Our Daily Bread!

I decided to use this week's MMSC 60 for my sketch. The verse was stamped with Fire Brick distress ink, and the edges were sponged with Old Paper Distress Ink. The DP is from Karen Foster Stars and Strips Collage paper. For the background, I ran the striped portion of the paper in the stars cuttlebug folder, and then distressed it a bit with a sanding block.

To finish off the card, I added some deep red gems, red taffeta ribbon, and a USA charm added with some twine.
Thanks so much for visiting today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Connie

Card Details:
Images: Our Daily Bread - ODBD
Inks: Fire Brick & Old Paper distress inks
Papers: Ruby Red, Night of Navy, Karen Foster Stars and Stripes DP
Accessories: Red Taffeta Ribbon, USA Charm, Red Gems

Thanks so much Connie! Isn't that a great card? To see more of what's coming on July 1 be sure to check out the rest of the DT and please visit Connie and leave her some love for this pretty card today! We'll be having a blog hop for you on July 1 and the prizes are EXTRA special ... so be sure to leave some time to hop with us and we'll see you then!

Time With Lorelie

Hello everyone! It's Tuesday and time to spend time with the talented Lorelie Kim! I love seeing Lorelie's projects because I know they are always going to inspire me and she never lets me down! Today she has something a little different for you to enjoy!

Hello and Happy Tuesday!

Fun with quilling! I know! Who would have thought I’d do some quilling, especially since I’ve heard it is so time consuming. BUT, Cuttlebug came up with a way to do some quilling that takes no time at all and so I just HAD to HAVE all three sets!

ODBD 128

I used my new Cuttlebug Quilled Kits to add lots of floral dimension by just running them through my machine and the flowers really made the verses from the Scripture Series 1 set pop!

Doesn’t it look like I spent hours making those flowers?! I LOVE IT!! Just by cutting more or less of the flower quilling die you can vary the size and fullness of your flowers. The quilled flowers with swirly Zva Creative pearls also accented the Spellbinders Lattice Pendant die beautifully! You can see more close-up pictures and complete card recipes over on my blog, My Paper Adventures.

Thanks Lorelie! These are gorgeous! Make sure you pop over to Lorelie's Blog and see more on how she made these gorgeous cards!
