Flashback Friday Favorite - Path of Life

Happy Friday, everyone!!! Time for another Flashback Friday Favorite.....Path of Life! This has got to be one of my all time fave sets by Our Daily Bread designs, with the gorgeous scene and the most powerful scripture verses!!

Have you ever wondered where you life is headed? Have you ever asked yourself, "What is my path?" We all ask these questions at times, especially when our lives are "off track". There is so much hope in the Word of God. When you put your life completely in His hands, with total faith, you will see Him opening doors and you will feel Him leading you in the right direction. Quiet your mind and you will hear His voice. He has a path laid out for all of us......all we have to do is trust and hearken to His word.

I hope you enjoy the samples below from our past and present Design Team gals.....may you feel peace as I do when I look at these beautiful scenes!

Thanks so much for visiting with us today! For more gorgeous samples of Path of Life and any other ODBD stamps, check out the Our Daily Bread designs' Gallery! Stay tuned Saturday for another wonderful Shining The Light Challenge, hosted by our talented Challenge Team! Have a blessed weekend!!

Customer Card of the Day - Jenny Charboneau

This week's Customer Card of the Day belongs to Jenny Charboneau.....otherwise known as "Miss Boo".....otherwise known as the "Queen of Clean and Simple"! Jen is the hostess for the Clean and Simple Challenge at Splitcoast each week and I am proud to say that she is also my DT sister for Christian Paper Crafts, where she hosts the Color Monday Challenge.

Isn't this card amazing? Jen has the talent to make a CAS card absolutely stunning!!! I love how Jen used the royal blue ink for the "Serenity Prayer" stamp to coordinate with the blue framing, borders, and ribbon. The Victoria embossing folder is a perfect accent as well!

When you have a sec, check out Jen's blog, "Designs by Boo", or visit her Splitcoast gallery or her Christian Paper Crafts gallery to see more of her gorgeous creations. Congrats, Jen!! I will be emailing your Customer Card of the Day badge code shortly!

Okay ladies, if you would like the chance to be featured for ODBD Customer Card of the Day, make sure that ODBD stamps are the focal point on your project and use either
ODBD or Our Daily Bread designs as Keywords when uploading to Splitcoast or Christian Paper Crafts. Keep those beauties coming....we love to see them all!!!

Time With Sandee

Hello everyone! Where has this week gone? Time seems to be literally flying by! I am always excited to share with you on Tuesdays, because I always find it so inspirational to see what the talented gals on this design team come up with! Today, we are honored to spend time with the talented and sweet Sandee! I love her style so I am loving this project today!!! Here's what Sandee has to share with us:

Good morning! I am so excited to show you this fun little project today! Altering things around the house that I have saved for years is becoming one of my favorite things to do. The frame on this particular plaque was originally a blue color and the design was cute but I wanted an updated look.
I painted the frame using several colors of acrylic paint in creams and browns.
Then I sprayed it with a brown Glimmer Mist color and sort of wiped it off a little.

Then for the background, I embossed the designer paper with one of the new cuttlebug folders in the Preserves collection and sponged it with Tim Holtz ink. I attached it to the plaque with Mod Podge.
I then attached a piece of a doily, a piece of lace and a piece of velvet ribbon with glue.
I sponged this a little bit too to dirty it up a bit!
The little flower is actually several prima flowers glued together.
My DT sister Patter showed us how to do this on her blog!
Thanks Patter!

I chose to use the scripture that I submitted for the Scripture Collection 4 set! When I read it, it reminds me to strighten up!!! LOL! Seriously, I love this scripture and was honored to have been able to have it made into a stamp! Thank you for that Kelley! I stamped it with Versamark and Memento Brown ink and clear embossed it. I cut it out and layered it with Spellbinders circles and framed this with the Spellbinders Lotus Die! I added the button and Zva pearls to finish it up!

And that's it! I really appreciate y'all taking the time to visit with me today! We invite you to join us for our monthly blog hop this coming Sunday the 1st.
You are gonna love the new sets coming out for August!

Thanks so much Sandee! I really love this... love the lace and velvet and that doily is just perfect! You are the queen of texture in my book Sandee! Why not leave a little love for Sandee and then go visit her blog to see all the other things she's been up to! You'll be glad you did!!! I echo Sandee's invitation to be back here on Aug 1 for our release blog hop! I have to say these new sets are going to be among my favorites for sure!!! They are such a pleasure to color and have wonderful verses and sentiments! Hope to see you then!
Have a blessed week!

Product Review - 3D Pre-Cut Flowers!

I am so excited to announce a brand new arrival to the Our Daily Bread designs online store.....3D Pre-cut Flower Kits!!! Create your own life-like flower bouquets on your cards or layouts or gift ideas....all you need are some foam dots or foam tape and you're in business!! Each 3D kit includes includes three different floral arrangements....some have butterflies too! And here is the best part.....all of the pieces are DIE CUT!!!! No more "fussy cutting" until you have hand cramps!!! Just punch the pieces out and pop up the layers! Now have I got your attention?

The first photo shows the bottom layer of the hydrangea flower after it was popped out of the sheet. Notice how each piece is numbered.......no guesswork on how to get just the right 3D look!

The next piece I used one layer of foam dots.....as you add the layers, if your next piece overlaps/touches your last layer.....add another layer of foam dots to raise it up a level.

This shows the space between layers when using one layer of foam dots.

The next piece I have doubled up the foam dots for added dimension. As I punched each piece from the sheet, I first found the matching area. At that time it is easy to figure out how many layers of dots you need, compared to the layers you already have.

This is a close up view of what the finished hydrangea looks like (with Zva Creative Pearls in the centers!) Okay, I went a little crazy with the pearls....the flowers are so gorgeous that they don't need anything extra, however, if you like the "more is more" approach, you can also add Liquid Pearls, Stickles, gemstones, or whatever you wish!

Here is the finished card, which includes "Pearl" Glimmer Mist, May Arts Satin Ribbon tied with a Bow Easy, Basic Grey "Capella" designer paper, Zva Creative Pearls, Spellbinders Labels Eight, and the ODBD stamp set, "The Living Bread".

This card featured Zva Creative Pearls, K & Co. "Madeline" designer paper, Cuttlebug Polka Dots Embossing Folder, and Lace Ribbon tied with a Bow Easy. Wouldn't you love to have a vase full of these flowers?

My third sample using the 3D Flowers also includes Zva Creative Pearls, Spellbinders Labels 4, Victoria Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, satin ribbon tied with a Bow Easy, Pearl Glimmer Mist, and a scripture verse from "Scripture Collection 3".

Are you as excited as me?! Head over to Our Daily Bread designs and stock up on the 3D Pre-Cut Flowers now!!! These 3D kits are the Super Special Sale item this week, 15% off until Saturday, July 31 at midnight EST. (Sale price will be reflected in your cart.)

We can't wait to see what you create with these gorgeous flowers!!!

Have fun and God Bless!

Stamping In Time on Assignment Challenge(SNTODBD14)!

Welcome to Our Daily Bread Designs Stamping In Time: On Assignment Challenge!  Thank so much for playing the Christmas in July Challenge!   It is time for another challenge! The assignment is ODBD stamps. The challenge is paper piercing! You can go simple or very ornate with our Ornare or Ectasy piercing templates! Choose your style and add some piercing to your card or project. We would love to see what you create using Our Daily Bread Design stamps!

For my card, I am using ODBD  Amazing Grace Hymn, Scripture Collection 3, and Vine Works stamp sets.    I stamped the vine works frame and used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to perfectly place my scripture inside the frame.   I used one of the ornare piercing templates, piercing tools, and piercing pad.  I layered a long rectangle spellbinders nestabilities with the vine works frame. More details at my blog post.    Check out the other ODBD designers' links to see what we created from the paper piercing challenge!
