Time With Randi

Hello and happy Tuesday! I hope you are enjoying a wonderful week! Today is a special day because our precious Randi Barrett is our Design Team guest this week. As you probably know, Randi was the inspiration behind the name of this month's set "Randi's Song". You need to read the story if you haven't done so already! So today she shares a special project that she has made to help her keep track of things during this season of Dr visits and tests. I know this will touch your heart! Here's Randi:

I count it a high privilege to be able to post on Our Daily Bread Designs blog today. God is so good, isn't He. As many of our followers know one of my cancers has reemerged. As with all who have chronic diseases, doctors encourage us to create a system to keep track of visits and reports. Necessity being the mother of all inventions I created my version of "the notebook". Yes, it would have been easier to just buy a folder or a three ring notebook but that just is not a stampers style! I started by strolling through Jo-Ann's and found this photograph album on sale. Turning it on its end I thought this would have the pockets I needed to hold various materials and notes. It was important for this project to be thin enough to throw in my purse and not too frilly so DH can carry it without being embarrassed.

Choosing which stamp to use was a simple task as I love the hymn provided in the set Rand's Song. By the way, I am truly humbled by such a tribute and I really do sing this song often, just not in public...aloud where people can hear me. I also made a few divider pages throughout the notebook but have not placed written tabs on each as subjects will become clear as time progresses. This month's Pray was the next set that I selected. It so aptly speaks to when I am speechless with my needs but my greatest desire is to be His and His alone.

And this precious sentiment about being knocked on our knees as that is where we learn to pray most effectively.

As a final divider I choose a sentiment from the Light set as it so reminds me that no matter what happens I am the safest when holding God's hand.

Each page is very sparse in design....but a feast for my heart when waiting for doctor's. However, that is what we love best about Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, isn't it... a feast for the heart!

Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs Randi's Song, Pray, Light
Paper: DCWV, SU
Ink: Memento Black Tuxedo
Tools: Jo-Ann's Ribbon

Thank you so much Randi! You are such an inspiration to all of us each and every day! God has used you in such a mighty way to touch so many.... what a treasure you are to this team!!! I hope ALL our readers today will take the minute it takes to leave a little love for Randi! Here is a link to her blog if you'd like to visit her there!

I hate it when I cry the first thing in the morning, but this brought me to tears Randi. Even with what you're going through, your encouragement to others and personal faith is such a wonderful testimony to how great our God is. I miss you and love you.

Dear Randi~

You are an amazing person. You think of others when you are going through so much. You Testify even through your appointment/note book! You are a living Testimony to all who come to interact with you. Grace. I think that is one of the main things you have taught me...Grace and Faithfulness. You are wonderful examples of each of these words. Thank you for sharing so much of yourself with us.

I love this notebook...like I said, it is a Testimony of who you are and how you feel about our Lord. I love the way you designed it! Wonderful. Stamping really is a wonderful way to express ourselves!

He IS Able!

Your life is a testament to God's goodness and grace. He will see you through this odyssey as well.
Josuha 1:9 says Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
