Spellbinder Dies and December New Releases!

Welcome to December, everyone! We have some very exciting news to share, plus three brand new Our Daily Bread designs' stamps sets to show off this month!

In case you missed the big announcement on the ODBD Thanksgiving day post, here is a recap:

Our Daily Bread designs is so proud and pleased to be chosen by the Spellbinders company as a Preferred Stamp Partner. Our partnership with Spellbinders will be a blessing to the stamping community as well, as we expand our line to include perfect-matched sentiments, scriptures and images to Spellbinders products. We look forward to a long and blessed partnership with such a fine product as Spellbinders.

Since we are on the topic of Spellbinders and Preferred Stamp Partners, we'll first show off the Ornaments stamp set, designed to coordinate with Spellbinders 2010 Heirloom Ornament Dies. The two gorgeous Ornament images in this set match the two largest cutting dies in the Heirloom Ornament Die set......below I will demonstrate how easy it is to cut out the Ornament images! I love the mix and match sentiments in this set as well....so many different combinations to choose from!

Okay, now let's get out our ODBD Ornaments set, along with the Spellbinders Heirloom Ornament Dies. I will be demonstrating the largest ornament image, along with the largest die in the set.

Stamp or heat emboss the image. Place the Heirloom Ornament die cutting side down against the cardstock. Once you have the image centered, place several pieces of scotch tape around the outside edges to hold the die securely in place. Run through your die cut machine of choice. After cutting, you also have the option to emboss the edge with an embossing mat.

Voila! Now you have a perfectly cut ornament to color and embellish!!! For using the smaller ornament image, follow the same directions....it is very easy to center the image within the die. Helpful hint: the small cutting dies in the set make really cute sentiment panels or mini-ornament embellishments.

Here is a close-up of the Ornament image, cut, embossed, sponged, colored, and matted.

Please note: To mat your ornament panel, you have two options: one is to cut an extra piece of cardstock with the cutting die and then trim down your stamped/cut image on the embossed line and adhere to the extra piece. A second option is to trace the outside edge of the cutting die and cut by hand...this is the option I chose for this sample due to the easy and flowing shape.

Our next lovely set is Christmas Blessings, which is a perfect compliment to any of the Christmas sets by Our Daily Bread designs. These sentiments, though perfect for the inside, are beautiful on the outside of your cards as well, either as the focal point or as a companion to one of our wonderful images in the Our Daily Bread designs stamp collection. (Personally, I'm excited to have the Joyous New Year sentiment here too!!!)

And last, but not least, a new addition to the "Full of Grace Collection", called Blessings! I have already used this awesome set for a thank you card, plus two birthday cards! This set is so very versatile......I believe it will be a long time favorite since it can be used for so many occasions! (Oh, a special thanks to Josh at ODBD for the arrow idea! Very clever!!)

Kelley is generously offering the Bread Basket Bundle again this month, 15% off when you buy all of the new releases. Hurry on over to Our Daily Bread designs....you still have time to crank out some Christmas cards using these new sets!!!

Thanks for visiting with us today! Come on back later this morning for our December Blog Hop.....you don't want to miss out on the awesome projects from the "Breadsticks", plus there are more chances to win big from ODBD!!!

God's blessings to you!
