Thanks to everyone who participated in the "Geometric Shapes" challenge last week!! There were so many beautiful creations. We so enjoyed viewing your interpretation of the challenge.

Before going on to our next challenge or the winners of last challenge, I would like to bid a special farewell to a dear sweet member of our team: Pat Smethers. It is with regret, that Pat has had to step down from the team due to difficulties and pain in her hands. Pat is very near and dear to our hearts, not only for her gorgeous and creative work, but for her faith and love for the Lord and others, and her sweet and encouraging spirit that is contagious to us all. This is not goodbye but so long and see you at SC sweet, Pat. Thanks for all your gorgeous work and being such an important part of the ODBD Challenge team!!

I would like to see help with determining with the spellbinder dies and all dies that you use, how you determine if you need shims or not. i was helping my friend with the snowflake I got and the poinsetta die she just got to determine the thickness you need to cut it out. She has the electric one(forgot brand)i have a big shot. She said she can't always get the crispness of the dies or to get them embossed. We were at a show this fall that showed some tricks, which have helped, but if you could share any hints on getting best results on cutting with the dies.

The Hope You Can Cling To winners from yesterday's blog hop are........LaDawn, Jan Marie, and Traci S.! Congrats, ladies!!! You each win a $20 ODBD Gift Certificate...yay!!

Great hop. So many ideas for the use of the sets. I have many new creations in my head now. I could not post a comment on Sue's card. She did a great job.

Beautiful work, Breadsticks. . .not a moldy one in the basket! Every stop was sweet and fresh! Thanks so much. May the Lord bless and keep you!

Hi~ This was such a beautiful and meaningful hop. I love this set. There are so many elements--it could make a variety of special cards with one set. I did visit every person on the list, and I did leave a comment.
I could feel the love that each person put into their project. It was an extraordinary hop in that way...I think it was a love-filled hop.
I know that "All things are possible through God." And, I just want to remind those being touched by this disease that it includes ending cancer...all cancer! God is great!

He IS Able!

Congrats, ladies! Please send an email to kelley@ourdailybreaddesigns.com to get your coupon code. Happy Shopping!!

In case you are not familiar with our Flashback Friday Favorites posts, this is when we turn back the clock a bit and revisit the previously released stamp sets by Our Daily Bread designs, which I call "Oldies but Goodies"! Even the sets that are three plus years old are still just as beautiful, powerful, and versatile! This week's Flashback is on the "Sympathy Bundle"! Our Daily Bread designs offers a wide variety of "Bundles", which are stamp sets grouped together by theme, at a discounted price for you (10% off of the regular price.)

Throughout the circle of life, unfortunately, there is a frequent need of sympathy cards to uplift those who are grieving. These three sets, "With Deepest Sympathy", "With Heartfelt Sympathy", and "Praying for You", are just the tools you need to help you witness to others about God's love and comforting arms during these trials.

The first set, "With Deepest Sympathy" includes a peaceful and serene lake image, two comforting scripture verses, and a basic sympathy sentiment. I have found that this set not only makes the most beautiful sympathy cards, but is perfect for cards and gifts for the man in your life or nature lovers, due to the gorgeous scene.

Next up is "With Heartfelt Sympathy", which includes two images, two sentiments, and two more powerful scripture verses. Once again, due to the rustic images, many have used this set for other occasions as well. One thing I absolutely LOVE about Our Daily Bread designs' stamp line is the ability to mix and match, for any paper-crafting need you may have!

The third set I would like to share today is "Praying For You", a companion set, if you will, to the two sympathy sets above. Once again, mixing and matching among the sets is a perfect way to create just the right card that you had in mind.

Please enjoy the samples below, which show how versatile these sets can be. The variety of styles, designs, and techniques just waiting to be discovered are endless!

Too see more lovely samples with these sets or any stamp set by Our Daily Bread designs, please visit the ODBD Card Gallery, where you can look up any set alphabetically and find loads of inspirational samples!

Thanks for stopping by today! Stay tuned tomorrow for a brand new Shining the Light Challenge! Have a very blessed weekend!

Time With Connie!

Hello friends of Our Daily Bread designs!

I Hope you're having a wonderful week, and I hope you have had time to hop along with the bread sticks to see all the samples made with the special stamp set, Praying for a Cure!  If not, scroll down one post and have a look, and you might win one of three great prizes!!!

Meantime... today is our special time we spend with one of our talented design team members, and we're with Connie today.  You will love seeing what she has made for you, complete with tutorial, using a sneak peek at the Nov. 1 release!!! Yay!!!  So here's Connie!

Time with Connie...Tent Card!

Hello! I am so excited to share a set and die from the new November release, along with a tutorial for a Tent Card!! The set I am using today is called Sweet Christmas Wishes, and it fits perfectly with the new window die created by Spellbinders exclusively for Our Daily Bread Designs!!

To create the Tent Card You will need a card base of 8 1/2" x 11" and a 4 1/4" x 4" piece of card stock the same color as your base.

I started by cutting out the window die, and placing it on the card stock base covered in DP (here I am using My Minds Eye - Lost and Found Christmas) to trace the inside of the window so I know where to cut the window on the base of my card.

Once traced, cut out the window opening.

Next put the rest of your window together by cutting out the drapes. Before I took the drapes out of the die, I traced the lines in the die with a black copic marker to give them some dimension.

Tape the drapes to the back of your window.

Tape your finished window on top of the cut portion of the front of your card base to create the window you will be looking through.

Take the 4 1/4" x 4" piece of card stock and score it at 1", 2" and 3".

Fold the scores in a peak and valley formation.

Adhere the one side of the scored piece of card stock to the inside base of your card. Then place the colored image on top. Finally, adhere the other side to the bottom inside of the card base to create you tent!

Decorate as you see fit! :)

Thanks so much for visiting today! I hope you have a wonderful day!!

Connie
Thanks so much Connie!  I love this tent card and I know this is a fun way to use this new set and die!  Please take a minute to leave Connie some love and pop on over to her blog to see all her other creations!  Don't forget to have a peek at the post below to be amazed!

Hope You Can Cling To Card Drive at SCS

This month of October has definitely been a month of hope! Many reading this have been personally affected by breast cancer....most of us know one or more cancer survivors, know someone who is going through treatment now, or some of you have lost a loved one in the past. All through this month, many wonderful stampers have stepped in and contributed hand-made cards to those in need of love and encouragement. Our Daily Bread Designs is one of many sponsors for the Splitcoaststampers second annual Hope You Can Cling To card drive to benefit those affected by breast cancer. Make sure to check out the Hope You Can Cling To Challenge Forums. There are daily challenges and many prizes given away by the many generous sponsors. You can even win one of the 5 $50 gift certificates to the ODBD store!!

To further support this cause, Our Daily Bread designs released a brand new stamp set, "Praying For A Cure" on October 15th. A portion of the proceeds from sales of this new stamp set sold during October will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

The new "Praying for a Cure" set has been "bundled" with the previously released "Hope" set....purchase both sets and save 10%. Both of these sets offer encouraging sentiments and scripture to help lift up those in need, not only in regards to cancer, but for any trial in which God's comfort and safety is needed.

The "Breadsticks" listed below have created samples using the new "Praying for a Cure" set. Please visit each of the ladies below, leave a comment for each, and return to this post to let us know that you have visited them all. There will be three commenters selected to win a $20 gift certificate each from Our Daily Bread designs. You have until Thursday, October 27 8pm EDT to leave your comments. The winners will be announced Friday morning at the top of the Flashback Friday Favorites post.
