You can use any of Our Daily Bread Designs Double Stitched Dies or Regular Shaped Dies to create frames. For this tutorial, I'm using the Double Stitched Rectangles die set and the Big Shot.
Follow the Sandwich Stack for your particular die cutting machine and die cut and emboss one of the Double Stitched Rectangles dies as shown.
The end result is a rectangle with stitching around the die cut panel and a rectangle with stitching around the negative panel.
To create the "frame", place the next larger sized Double Stitched Rectangle die over the negative panel that you just die cut.
Die cut and emboss according to the Sandwich Stack for your particular die cutting machine.
The end result is a frame with double stitching as shown.
You can also use the die cut panel that has stitching around the edge to create a "frame" as shown below.
Place the die cut panel onto your platform, place a smaller sized Double Stitched Rectangle die in the center, be sure to center the die so that your frame edges are even. You can use removable tape to hold the die in place so that is doesn't shift while die cutting.
Here is the panel after die cutting.
To bring out the details in the dies, emboss the dies according to the Sandwich Stack for your particular die cutting machine. Here you can see I placed the larger Double Stitched Rectangle die under the die cut panels (I left the smaller die in place) and then embossed.
Here is the "framed" panel along with the two Double Stitched Rectangle dies used to create the frame.
Below are a few examples of Our Daily Bread Designs die sets being used to create "frames", you can click on the photos for more details.
